IyaTola:I perceive you're a Christian! Because this a huge destiny decision that alter the cause of your brother's life forever. Take a 3-day fasting and prayer exercise, God will speak to you in a dream on what to do!! |

raphy:You don't get it. The maximum limit he can get via study is 2 years. Except its through Canadian permanent residence. Or through work visa that u can get 5 years or 3 years as the case maybe. Currently in United Kingdom and Canada policies have been put in place to make it harder to convert to work visa. 90% of those that japa from 2023 downward have not settled. The reality is that a lot of them will be back soon. Yes i heard and watch the insecurity in Nigeria its bad something has to be done.. Its either tinubu leaves that seat or something happened cos he is clueless |

Let him show you his business plan and business model first or explain it to you before funding him. |

Hello , I rarely comment but i see you have a good heart and I am in the same boat, however , I have been in canada for the past 7 years so I may be able to help you. How old is your brother ? If he has a masters degree , less than 30 years old , work experience of 1 to 3 years , you may be able to get him to apply for express entry. (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry.html). He will need to writer the IELTS , do medicals , do WES before he can apply , if he speaks french ? Do TEF too to increase his chances. This is the BEST way to come to canada. I did it. it is not easy , but very possible. Second option, if he is above 30 but has all that i have listed above , he can apply for Provincial Nomination Program ( https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/provincial-nominees.html ). Another scheme , just as good as Express Entry. Third Option ? Study route , as you have proposed - Look for a cheap school in a province that is very receptive to International students , that has a clear pathway for them to get work permit and eventually get PR , look towards provinces like Saskatchewan , Nova Scotia , the praires generally . Make sure the school is DLI , watch youtube videos on how to apply ,you may be able to spend half the money for tuition and the rest , and put the rest in a business for yourself. I may be able to answer some of your questions if you have any. Godspeed ! |

@IyaTola Quick breakdown: - Of those who picked a side, "send him to Canada" beat "invest in Nigeria" roughly 2-to-1 (31 vs 14). - A good number didn't pick either — 22 said it should really be your brother's decision / depends on his seriousness, and 15 just gave caution without a clear pick. - The single most-repeated point (12 separate comments) is that ₦15M may not be enough to actually relocate him to Canada. Worth confirming the real cost of the route first. - Heads up too: about 4 in 10 comments here are off-topic banter, and half the likes went to just 5 comments — so don't read "most liked" as "best advice." Not telling you what to do, just laying out what the thread says in one place so it's easier to weigh. Hope it helps. PS: This summary was generated with Claude (AI) based on the thread - not a professional advice @Seun Feature idea: an optional TL;DR summary at the bottom of long threads where main points plus a rough sense of where opinion is leaning. Reddit already does this (AI thread summaries, plus community bots that table out long AMAs). Even a basic version would make advice and decision threads far more useful. Worth considering.

IyaTola:How come you're asking the public this and not your brother...? If he's a 9-5person, likes flexing, doesn't like stress then think Canada If he's an hustler, business minded, loves to stay in the country then let him do business. I think his decision should carry greater weight here |
