Good day everyone I hope you all had a blessed rainy Friday.

To my topic .
I have 2 green parrot as pets they are 7 month with me I don't know much about parrot but I google what thy love to eat and I feed them well. Sometimes they turn the food plate upside down in there cage like thy ar angry. And they always squack even when food is in cage. A lady base in UK say they use to taik but dnt know if it's true as am not a Bird specialist.
Does anyone knows anything about green parrots.

Yes they do talk but the trick is to handrails them from young most breeders don't do that its more difficult training them at that age you got them because it'dtake time beforethey get to trust you at all before they are now even calm enoughto learn

You have better chances with raisingthem from day one of their lives

Thanks the lady that brought them is based in UK she gave me to take care of. They were already with many feathers when they where bought from aboki but where still small now thy are grown and fat head and still scared of me when I approach the cage to put food but when am walking away they squack like thet want to call me bck sometimes I allowe the aggressive one to come down and stroll in yard he try to fly but can't.

Wen I was much younger dey was one in d neighbourhood I grew up in ..it talks...it repeat whatever u said to it...but I don't know if d colour is green or whatever it is ..but it is parrot and it talks

Don’t expect instant talking. Some parrots start within months, some take years, and some mainly whistle or imitate sounds around the house like phone ringtone, laugh etc

No. Grey parrot talks. Nice

I think it is the African Grey that has the highest command of vocabulary.

They don't form independent thought, by the way. They only mimic speech

The reason why it is not talking is because you did not take it to calabar kitchen. Take it there and it will talk immediately.

I have similar parrot that I bought from an Aboki. This specie is called Senegal parrots, mine isn't talking yet and its been up to 4months I bought it, from my findings, you will be the one that will teach them how to talk via talking in front of them regularly

Exactly. But ostrich meat is sweeter. That one tastes exactly like eagle meat. But swan meat and sparrow meat are even sweeter. The oga patapata of them all is vulture meat. That one sweet die!

Exactly,teach them word or a song from time to time,spend time with them.l used know a man in Germany years ago, these birds are the source of his livelihood as he would teach them their traditional songs and then take them to marketplace to play out and people will be given him Deutsch mark.Everthing about parrot 🦜 is money the red feathers is gold to be used for traditional African juju.Just pick few of them and sell it to those women selling agbo or elewe omo,you become money like Germany would say.My friend,you have got something, just exploits and make more inquiries about them.

I don't think what you said here is entirely true, especially about them taking a long time to trust you if you get them at a nature age. It didn't take me two days to befriend one and gain his trust, all I did was to give it a cube of sugar in the morning and in the evening and the bird was submitting his head for scratches the next day.

Thanks I keep getting to know there behavior each month. They always turn tthere food plate upside down when hungry.

For here pepeye ( duck) na wild dem Dey u go see dem around the field wey we Dey play ball. But for my country na meat or domesticate dem for meat.
