Things You Realise After 1 Year In The UK That Nobody Prepared You For by Rosexpress(op): 3:36am On May 23
Nobody writes this list so I will.

1. The cold is not just weather. It is a personality. It will change you.
2. You will spend the first 3 months converting every price to naira. Stop. You will not survive.
3. Nigerian food exists here but it will cost you emotionally and financially.
4. You will miss the most random things — the noise, the heat, the fact that someone is always around.
5. Sending things home is harder than it should be. Finding a reliable cargo service is a genuine life skill.
6. Your Nigerian friends here will become your family faster than you expect.
7. The NHS is genuinely free and it will confuse you every single time.
8. You will buy a coat, think it's enough, and be humbled by February.

What else would you add? And for number 5 — anyone use REDS (usereds.com)? Curious if others have tried them for UK→Nigeria and Nigeria→UK cargo.

Yes I agree with the subtle loneliness but it mostly affect extrovert ....I am a deep introvert, don't like loud noise, don't like seeing people around for long, don't do clubing, can stay in doors for days and weeks provided there is light, data and food am good to go.

Even though travelling is part of my hubbies.

Yesterday i received a call from a friend who left for Portugal about a month ago, the lamentation for rent no be here o. 600k naira monthly when you convert the Euro amount to naira just for one room apartment in a five bedroom flat, shared toilet and kitchen with all the occupants of the other saperate rooms. A lot of bills, but minimum wage is about 900 euro.

The comparisons can weigh you down if you don't know your ways. However, she said there's jobs available, just the language barrier.

In all, life over there is still far better than Nigeria. We only need to fix our country because their's didn't fall from heaven, it was designed and fixed. We can do it too.

First step is to remove Tinubu and his APC group of thieves in 2027.

Still you will feel it, someone dont like go out at All does not mean if they put the person in prison he/she will like it

YOU are introvert by your choice ...thats flow But when your environment seems to be enforcing the choice ... your body will revolt ..thats human for you
