The least price you can buy gas even from major plant is 1450, some go as high as 2k in some gas shop , The reason be that our gas reserve is critically low , Dangote and co prefer to export , cos of the global energy crisis cause by the war , |

Lithiumite:Beans would have cost much less, had they opened the border to niger. There was a time trucks loaded with Beans were not allowed into Nigeria from the border. A lot of them perished as trucks in hundreds linedcup at the border for months. That was at the beginning of the ban. I have a friend in Niger.I had shared his information here before. He also gives me this information cos he comes to Nigeria often, Lagos to be precise. On the onions, our local production alone can't be enough for Lagos to eat . Check Lagos population.Niger is Africa's largest exporter of onions. Check it as well. The gas coming into Nigeria used to come from their refinery. Hope you know they had a refinery . |

Eriokanmi:I really acknowledge your erudite inferences on this but I beg to differ......beans is a major staple in Nigeria and to be honest nigerians arent feeling the pinch on the border closure with niger honestly compared to when we had issues with benin republic and rice became an issue. On onions,Nigeria is the largest producer in africa after Egypt, the onions out of aliero, kebbi state alone will feed the entire country. I am aware niger had a refinery but in all honesty, I never knew we get gas from there, how are they transported and where do the dispatch, the logistics will be quite cumbersome as you would have thousands of gas trucks heading south from the north which will be quite visble to everyone but I don't even see anything of such. |

Why use gas for boiling water or warm food? That’s more cost consuming na. I have this LED electric hot plate that saved my cooking gas. I was thinking initially that it would consume electricity but that has hardly been the case. I truly recommend it for all households. I only use my gas when there is no light. Else, I use the LED hot plate and my electricity still carries me for the number of months it carries me for. quote author=Kaido post=139490971]Na to go buy charcoal stove and a bag of charcoal. Gas go be for warming food and boiling water.[/quote] |

We were dey for village are mostly not affected by tinubu's govt policies, we use firewood from bushes for most of our cookings, we cultivate our cassavas and mill our oil. Since I moved to the village about a year ago my life has never remain the same, I now have more saving, I have added weight, am not addicted to any lifestyle, am no more shy or feel to exposed. When people from my city sees me now they hardly believe its the same person. In fact the average village people saves and keep more money than those in the city except those who have a stable business or high paying job. |

janeedema:The power supply in my location has drastically reduced from 19 hours to 10 hours a day. Now, we barely have 5hours of power. I will get the LED hot plate, when power is stable. |
