Until state police is a reality should FG cut off the security votes to states and manage everything from Abuja

Or what's the use of the security votes they get when the buck still always stop at presidency

What is delaying state police today BTW
Egbon, the President cannot keep passing the blame to the Governors when as at today he still controls the police and the entire armed forces. Even the forest rangers are under the control of the FG. The final buck stops at his table. No excuses. We won’t make this excuse for another person, we shouldn’t be making it for Asiwaju.

The Governor security votes are whatever, you are giving them money when they have zero operational control over the security outfits. It’s a travesty.

They are still doing framework and bla bla bla with the IGP of police as the head. Again we are putting the cart ahead of the horse. Let the National Assembly do their damn job and come up with a bill outlining the structure, framework and funding of how the state police will be and how they will operate with the federal police. Repel the current Police Acts and allow each state to draw up their own police structure, framework, funding and recruitments. We just like over complicating simple issues.

Those who have been entrusted with office should do their damn jobs. If Asiwaju wants to pass the blame to the Governors on insecurities, he should tel the NA to quickly come up with the state police bill, he kuku get whatever he wants from the National Assembly, this one shouldn’t be hard.

For now, the blame rest squarely on the President neck, shoulder and body.

Just watch how he will turn Amala around this post and end it by insisting the governors are chief security officers of their state who should be responsible for security of their state.

Back to serious things this pass tinubu. It is international terrorism. The same that is taking place in Niger and mali

And there are two problems that make it worse

Those who belive in the cause - there is no way there is no local support from radicalised Muslims (and that is a problem in itself because no one is speaking out)

Our compromised security agencies

We caught three robbers in my close on Tuesday morning. They had broken into someones house but he had raised the alarm. At least one of the thieves was not your run of the mill thief but a person speaking good English. Apparently he had a DHL uniform with him. The police have released them. Making up different stories for doing so. So if police will be bribed for run of the mill robbers what will they do for foreign backed terrorists with dollars?

So the security votes should it be withdrawn since they are not doing any security and handed to the FG right? Should the governors return the Security votes since they do not have the capacity to provide security, they shouldnt have the capacity to collect the money. Will you disagree

The legislative is a separate arm from the executive and he cannot tell them to just do anything they want

Many people in Nigeria on this thread including politicians have misgivings about state police so its not just what Tinubu will force through

Its actually not a joke. Those who took those kids are not the regular for money kidnappers, these are terrorists ISIS, Al Qaeda type. That slaughter of the teacher is ISIS modus. The hunters who went to chase them initially said they used IEDs and some weapons the hunters are not used to

8days after the kidnap, they haven't communicated a ransom figure. That shows money is not the motive IMO

And this has been spreading in the entire region. Al qaeda ISIS wings are gaining ground in the region even outside. Last week an ISIS leader was killed in the lake Chad region

The beheading of the teacher is the same thing isis did to Daniel Pearl. We may see actual burnings next. And when you consider the fact that a lot of beheading was by a radicalised Briton - we are in it.

The deception is thinking that its by rigging that this election is won

Currently APC is the only party with a nationwide spread. The major opposition dont even have presence in some part of the country
NDC for example does not have candidate in many places in the North, ADC does not have candidates in some parts in the South
So when they lose you will claim its rigging. Thats the cope

The emboldened is the koko.

The election will be rigged brazenly, and will make Wike's Rivers state abracadabra in 2023 look like child's play.

Dem go do am to the extent that they will even win in opposition strongholds/backyards in the East and North to send a message to Obi, Atiku, Kwankwanso and opposition politicians.

If people come out to protest, security forces will be sent to dislodge and quell the protest, any way possible.

They will tell you go to court, where PBAT will secure a majority decision.

Nigerians will lament, wail, cry in anguish and resort to criticizing the government on social media, and that will be the end of it. Mission accomplished.

Like Thanos, Tinubu's 2nd term is inevitable and only death can thwart it

Claiming rigging is the excuse and cop out that opposition want to use for not being organized

The opposition is fractured. The 2 opposition were created about 12months ago . Go to a village in Oyo or half the country they dont know of NDC with about 8months to elections

Go to a village in most southern states they dont know of ADC
Every ward in Nigeria they know APC

The 2 opposition do not have the nationwide spread of APC
APC like in 2023 has positioned itself that any state its not winning its finishing 2nd
So when NDC ends up getting 200 votes in Yobe state, ADC gets 500 votes in Cross Rivers

You will claim its rigging. Even the laws of rigging states you cant rig in a place you are not popular

Last election according to former LP people they admitted they didnt have polling agents in many locations .

The NW with the highest number of votes, LP scored 5% of all votes despite having their VP from the zone

Yet they will claim they were rigged out. Even Obi did not say he won

It'a actually an indictment on Tinubu's government that we have moved from boko haram & fulani herdsmen kidnapping for money to ISIS nesting in Nigeria & beheading citizens of this country.

Tinubu is the head of government under whose tenure the state security services cannot gather intelligence to foil terrorist attacks, instead they would rather arrest people who criticize the government & it's unfruitful efforts in safeguarding the lives & properties of its citizens.

The government is more known for arresting and docking opposition figures than fighting terrorists that are actually destroying the peace of this country.

If we are being serious, we would be asking pertinent questions like what exactly are the respective security agencies doing to protect the citizens, not comparing our lot with that of Mali and Niger.

These things have all been happening before Tinubu. ISIS, Iswap have all been in Nigeria before Tinubu. Its been over 12yrs ago that Chibok girls were taken in the same manner that was not Tinubu

Same with Dapchi

Its agenda to claim that we moved into something under Tinubu that has been in existence for 12yrs
