A few weeks back, I shared a post about how Premier league league stars, were inspiring a quiet revival among the gen z in the UK, according to a report of The Times.

It wasn't surprising that it was the goal celebration of an Arsenal star, Eberechi Eze, using his fingers to show the sign of the cross, that was used to illustrate that report, because of the sheer amount of players at Arsenal Football club (recently crowned premier league champions) that have been seen unashamedly praying, giving glory to Jesus and preaching His Gospel both on and off the pitch, especially this season in which they emerged as champions after 22 years.

It was so distinctive, they were nicknamed "the bible brothers" by the fans and media.

Here are some photos of the so-called "bible brothers" of arsenal, boldly glorifying Jesus and preaching His Gospel, before clinching the 2025/2026 English premier league title:

I recently shared what God told me while I was seriously planning to quit my passionate following of the game, when He said "I have many people in football", which made me begin to pay more serious attention to the game.

Arsenal is actually the football club I was supporting at the time, which I was planning to leave to prevent any distraction from the matters of the Kingdom, when God revealed that to me, hence don't think it's by accident that the same club is now being used to preach the Gospel more than any other in the history of football, having finally won the league after a record 22 barren years of chasing to no avail, especially having come that close taken second in the last 3 consecutive years, that made it to become a subject of unprecedented mockery and ridicule, to be point of being nicknamed a bottling company.

The same club is now being used to preach the Gospel of patience, perseverance, resilience, diligence, humility, endurance, focus, steadfastness, keeping the faith, striving, never giving up, God's appointed time, etc.

Most of all though, the biggest lesson I learnt, not just from Arsenal experience, but from football as a whole after receiving that revelation from God, is how it mirrors what happens in the battle of souls that goes on in the spiritual realm.

The agonizing pain felt when a soul is lost, especially when coming so close, they could even feel it in their hands, then suddenly one blip and that's it, they realized they've lost another soul yet again.

Then the edge and suspense involved when they come so close yet again, and have some setbacks thinking they've lost it again as usual, then suddenly the tides turns, and at the dying minutes they realize that they have won the battle for that soul just before the battle ends.

The joy in heaven for that one soul won would exceed that of all Arsenal fans combined, because that it means that soul would no longer perish in hell but have eternal life.
