In 2008, Lagos unveiled Eko Atlantic City, a multi-billion-dollar project planned on reclaimed Atlantic Ocean land beside Victoria Island. Backed by former governor Bola Tinubu and continued by Governor Babatunde Fashola, the project aimed to stop Bar Beach erosion while creating a luxury business and residential city. According to P.M. News, developers said the city would house 250,000 residents, attract 200,000 daily commuters, and include marinas, hotels, malls, and high-rise towers. Energyx Nigeria Limited reportedly committed about $3.5 billion to the development, with completion projections stretching to 2015. Source: https://x.com/i/status/2058242245770276955

It is interesting how people cannot see the pattern. The man identifies government assets, uses government instruments and resources to acquire the assets, then gives it out to his cronies to 'develop'. He said he increased revenue... which company controls revenue in lagos today? 90% of major road contracts in lagos went to who? The Atlantic City is owned by who? The toll gates are controlled by who? Not ownership ooo. 'Control'... know the difference. The lekki TFZ (lovely idea no doubt) has which company as one of its major stakeholders? If you know the relationship between Asw×ni and that man (political and business relationship history), then you will understand better. Who did dangote pay over $100m to secure land for his refinery? How was the money used? https://punchng.com/group-sues-lagos-for-100m-dangote-refinery-land-deal/ They will tell you it is PP venture, but look deeper... that is why lagos refused to domestic the Freedom of Information Act... https://www.icirnigeria.org/lagos-state-rejects-request-for-public-information-despite-court-ruling-on-foi/ https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/280552-foi-despite-court-of-appeal-ruling-lagos-refuses-to-open-its-books.html The contracts, investments and returns all flow back to the man. Those hyping those investments cannot afford to use them. The best they can get is to work there as low level staff if they are lucky. Barely surviving on peanuts, but they hail the architect of thier chains... |

He laid the foundation in 2008 under Fashola’s administration, and today he is laying the foundation for extreme hardship and death across the entire country. |

1vandragon:I can't post pictures anymore but you make me remember the post I made last Friday. I will quote it here and you can check the pictures. Privatizing government assets was his legacy. The guy privatized everything from health to water to public waste service. You summed it up here: Those hyping those investments cannot afford to use them. The person hyping the Atlantic city, can he afford one goat feet of land there? 🤡 SixSeven:

Tinubu is no longer being judged for what he claims to have achieved before becoming President whether true or not, he is being judged by what he has achieved in the last 4 years in office. He is the one running for re-election and Nigerians have a choice between allowing him continue or choosing another promising candidate |
