Nigeria Is Dead, Let's Not Deceive Ourselves – Pastor Paul Adefarasin (Video) by kingjayzeelan07(op): 9:13pm On May 25
Senior Pastor of the House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, has declared Nigeria "dead and rotten" due to the country’s severe economic downturn.

Speaking to his congregation during a May 17 sermon, the cleric expressed deep concern over the staggering devaluation of the national currency, noting that relying on the Naira as one's primary measure of wealth is a direct indicator of poverty in today's economy.

‘’Nigeria is dead, lets not deceive ourselves. Let me tell you something. Once you are counting in Naira, you are poor. I was not born poor. My father's salary in the 70s or 80s was about N18, 000. That was money. How much is a billion Naira today in dollars or N1.4 billion in dollars? $1 million. Do you know what a billion Naira was when I was 15 or 16? $2.8 billion.''

He said things have gotten so bad because the government just believes in living in the now without thinking of the future.

‘’They have erased it out of our academic systems. We do not research data to know what our future looks like. So we are not doing the critical thinking so we have no combatant against our subconcious foolishness''

Pastor Paul, Nigeria is not dead. You just lack the courage to call Tinubu out because he's your good friend.

All these ignoramuses who just talk because they are privileged to have sheep cheering them up.
Poverty is not measured by the currency value.
South Korea is one of the richest countries on earth, yet the South Korean Won has lesser value than naira. South Koreans count in their currency.

Nigerian have a mirage of problems and is in a bad state presently...

He can criticize the government all he wants... but Nigeria is dead is a weird thing for a public figure personality to make in public.

People ought to be careful with their public utterances... especially public figures. Its hard to see people from other nationalities make such comments of their country no matter how bad the situation is.

There are other ways he could have criticized and said what he said... it's called tact.

Nigerians are some of the only people that denigrate their country in public even to outsiders and it all boils down to patriotism!

That's how they all behave.

Men of God are supposed to be fearless.

Instead of him to be bold and tell Tinubu that he destroyed Nigeria, he is rather twisting it to Nigeria is dead, who deaded it?

APC kpaid Nigeria. Since 2015, it has been from one APC disaster to another yet some Nigerians refuse to have sense all because of tribalism, it is well

He should nail it as if is; Tinubu and Buhari led APC governments destroyed Nigeria beyond repair. Bishop David Oyedepo have boldly did so multiple times.

Biafra is A Confirmed establishment and Tinubu supporters with their masters will suffer unconditionally for 2000 generations. grin

Just imagine the gibberish coming out from the mouth of a self acclaimed man of God.

But at a time, if we don’t have naysayers like is bald head, we won’t have people to prove wrong!

He should keeps his believe personal! Millions still believe in this country and he is just a dot on the screen.

See Talk!! One of the richest countries with a weak currency which is aimed at encouraging export. Nigeria is among the poorest countries of the world and with the third worst currency yet you seek to compare her with SK, Japan and China. Haba jama'a!!!

Nigeria is alive and blessed. All the enemies of Nigeria will always lose.

It is completely ungodly to continue subsidizing the US dollars at the expense of average Nigerians. Now that Nigeria has been floated, it benefits our export economy and that is why our economy is expanding and the real sector keeps growing.

If he truly made this statement, he has already spoken himself into trouble.

For someone who took a lot from Nigeria, he should be grateful.

Even the police case he had then was 'settled' without causing him any serious discomfort of prosecution like if it were some other Nigerians. Maina's son had a similar problem with the law and got convicted.

Below is his brief bio on National offices he held:

2013 - 2017 National Deputy President @ Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN);

2006 - 2010 Chairman, National Youth @ Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria

He built a multibillion private residence in upscale Banana Island, Ikoyi in 2012

5 years later, he built another multibilion edifice in Lekki.

GEJ govt supported his ministry yet same GEJ govt was a total failure owing salaries of govt workers for several months!

May God Almighty, in His infinite mercy, continue to bless Pastor Emmanuel Irene for standing up against injustice and speaking for ordinary Nigerians. In a country where many people stay silent out of fear or personal interest, he chose to publicly protest and stand with Nigerians during a difficult time.

What he did should never be forgotten in the history of Nigeria. Not everyone will understand the courage it takes to speak up in difficult times, especially in a society where many only care when issues affect them personally.

May God reward him for identifying with the struggles and pain of Nigerians. May he never lack help in his own time of need. May God continue to strengthen him, protect him, and elevate him beyond expectations.

A lot of people have influence, but very few truly use it for the good of others. Acts like this remind us that humanity, courage, and compassion still exist.

May every Nigerian who genuinely desires a better country remember and appreciate people who stand up for truth, justice, and the wellbeing of the people. May history be kind to him, and may his good deeds never be forgotten.
