It was never their targets......their goal was to stop Ukraine from ever joining NATO and to liberate the donbas region and all have been achieved so far.......regime change is dependent on Ukrainians to decide....taking out the comedian wouldn't guarantee that.

Russia has officially annexed the donbas and would not give it back and neither can Ukraine reclaim it.....what Ukraine is doing now is guerilla warfare....k*lling soldiers/generals is a part of war.... nothing special.....if this war ends today Russia will count their victories while Ukraine will count their losses especially that donbas that hold more than 70% of Ukraine's rare earth minerals.
