Now by the way, the said chicken that was sold in your your location, do you care to know the source, maybe they are stolen chickens from another farm or state that the seller decides to come sell it at your location at cheaper price.
Moreso, even if it is not stolen, do you know what it cost the seller to produced them in contrast to other farmers. Maybe it cost him little, unlike another farmer. I am a farmer and I know what it takes to raise a broiler from day old to maturity. So 40k well matured 4kg broilers is worth every pounds in this economy.

Please always demonstrate that you are learned by considering variables that determine costs of any product expecially in this economy before spewing with your keyboard.

@Op I put it to that you are naive of events in time past. FYI there was any time in history of Nigeria that sallah rams are not cheap and affordable to majority. The price always increases from previous years. My mum used to sing a song in early 80s that people that kill sallah rams are not many compared to those who bought the rams on credit. There is no year that people don't cry about price of sallah rams

Below is a link to show you the price of hajj in 2009. It wasn't even up to 700K . And even the price of ram wasn't even up to 50K. It was a mere 20,000 naira and price increased by 15 percent during ileya.

2 cows are being killed in front of my in-laws house right now by 2 very average families......I was at kara market on Saturday and I still saw healthy rams for 150k,though small but enough for the symbolism of the sallah......I still saw a cow for 350k and very sufficient for a family.

As there ever being any sallah people don't complain about high cost of rams but yet you see people slauthering something everywhere.

average rams are sold in Kaduna for N200K. Some southern states will most likely be higher but no where near the silly lie of N1.5m for rams

My six Muslim neighbors all bought rams 2 years ago for sallah, some ministries even gave rams as sallah gifts. This year, only the top 2 financially strong ones managed to contribute to buy a small ram. Relax, Tinubu is fixing Nigeria, even the fix Nigeria coordinator is in jail for fraud.
