The question should have been, can your peeps, southwest, invest in southeast or north as much as he invested in southwest? Even in southsouth, what are your peeps investments?

Most southwesterners have properties in the southsouth as long as they live and work their. Once they retire or are transferred, they sell off everything.
Yoruba that have business in Igbo land and are successful do not leave the place. Some have been there since before the second world war. Why will you leave somewhere where you are entrenched, where all your customers are? There are Igbos who sell off everything in the west too and leave for the East. There is no available statistics that shows there are more Igbo controlled investments in the west than Yoruba investments in the old Eastern region. The way Igbo exists in Lagos is how Yoruba exists in PH and the way Igbo exist in Ibadan, Abeokuta, Ilorin etc there are Yoruba in Enugu, Owerri, Awka, Onitsha etc

This can never happen in any of the south east states.

I commend our SW brothers for thus kind gesture.

Yorubas are great people before Satan sent them Bola Tilumbum to give them the evil Apple that Satan also gave Eve which Eve lured Adam to eat and their eyes opened to know evil, which angered God and made God to send Adam and Eve away from the garden of Eden.

God bless true Omoluabis cool
That man won under the same tinunu that you are insulting. He's in his party, tinubu has so much igbo in his cabinet, he gave them free hand, let flip it to obi, tell me one yoruba in his cabinet? You people should stop this, igbo flourished under tinubu, he might have his flaws bu no politician in these era has been inclusive with all tribes like tinubu. Give him his cap. Hate him or like he has paid his dues and he's the greatest politician of these era.

The tribalists from that side will soon deny him as not being one of their own because of his surname name. grin

Let me get you right. You want to be loitering about at Gbongan in Ayedaade Local Government Area and expect to be dashed or gifted a position in market union in the southeast?

Go and check the impacts and investments in southwest of the non-southwesterners vying for elective positions in southwest. They never sat in their regions demanding a place in governance in southwest. They earned it.
the question is not about even a Yoruba being a market leader or elected in any political position in the east, the question is , can an eboyin man be a market leader in anywhere in the east ? Can an eboyin man be elected as an Igbo leader in anywhere general Igbo union or group within and outside Igbo land ?

Can an Enugu man be elected in any political position in outside Enugu ?

Why would outsiders expecting from you guys what you can’t even do within yourselves ?

Aren’t eboyin people actively investing in anambra ? Why aren’t they elected in pooitical positions in anambra ?

Governor Charles Soludo appointed Mr. Adebayo Ojeyinka, a native of Ede, Osun State, as a Permanent Secretary in the Anambra State Civil Service. He is one of the most prominent non-indigenes serving in a top administrative role in the state.

Mr. Ogunsanya Bimbola Kehinde who hails from Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, serves as a Permanent Secretary in the Imo State Civil Service, having been appointed in 2019 and retained by successive governments.

Your tribalism and that of your types needs cure and lots of education.

Very brave of him to use his father's surname to contest in a core western State. I'm glad the voters put tribal sentiments aside when voting. Now the one million naira question, will he deliver to his constituents when voted in?

Bros give us examples of good and thriving businesses owned by Yorubas in the southeast. Tell us their sizes.

To be a market leader is not a child’s play. Bros, it takes quite enormous fit to be market leader.

You do not operate a kiosk and expect to be market leader in Ochanga market or Ogbete.

Since you are sure that there is no Ebonyi man who is a marker leader in the southeast, give us your proof. Tell us the markers in southeaat and their leaders. This is not a beer palour joint where people are inspired by substances to talk. Intellectuals talk with facts and figures.

So if you believe that an Ebonyi man cannot be a market leader in the southeast, then is it still a tribalism issue?

It has been happening in the east before your Awolowo introduce trabalism into Nigerian politics.

You see this style of divide and rule government Tinubu has also introduced in Nigeria, tomorrow most of you will also come here to complain about it.

Just like a Fulani man was elected as a Mayor of Enugu, a Yoruba man was also elected as a mayor of Port Harcourt.. This man will also emerge victorious as well..

God Bless The Federal Republic Of Nigeria.
1958 - 2026 is 68 years ago. They should the same in 2026 as the yorubas have done theirs undecided.

Why highlighting the fact that he's Igbo?
That is unnecessary.
Didn't their fathers fight and unalive over hundreds of thousands to ensure that Igbos never leave? It is One Nigeria. No big deal.
If this had happened in any of the SE states, you'd have been singing a new song.

Schools, hospitals, car dealerships and etc are those not businesses? How many Igbo businesses in Lagos employ up to 200 people?. I don't stay in the East but I have been there and I met Yoruba who are HNIs. There are Yoruba there who are dollar millionaires and how many dollar millionaires exist in the SE? Maybe 500

Don’t say it can never happen in the south east, of course it can. Leadership doesn’t just fall from the sky. When you live in a community and actively participate in its socio-political activities, people naturally begin to trust and recognize you. That’s how leadership positions come.

But when you isolate yourself from the socio-political life of the community you live in, don’t expect leadership positions to come looking for you.

Zaccheus Okoro must have actively participated in the community he found himself in, and that is why the people of Ise/Ikere-Ekiti found him worthy of political office, irrespective of his tribe.
This CANNEVER HAPPEN in any part of the SE.
