5 Life Lessons I Have Learnt From Peter Obi - Odewale Adesoye (Green Man) by Odewaleadesoye(op): 8:20pm On May 27
...whether we agree with his politics or not, Peter Obi has definitely made a strong impact on Nigerian politics and youth participation.

Whether you support him politically or not, one thing many Nigerians admire about Peter Obi is his simplicity, discipline and ability to connect with ordinary people.

Peter Obi has built a strong movement, especially among Nigerian youths, simply because many people see him as relatable and different from the regular political class.

Here are some life lessons I believe people can learn from him.

1. Live A Simple Life:
One thing that stands out about Peter Obi is simplicity.

Despite holding big political positions before, he is still known for living a modest lifestyle compared to many politicians.

Many Nigerians admire the fact that he flies economy sometimes, carries his own bag and avoids unnecessary show off.

The lesson here is simple:
Do not live to impress people unnecessarily.

2. Discipline And Prudence Matter:

Peter Obi is always talking about cutting waste and managing resources properly.

As former governor of Anambra State, many people still mention how he focused on savings and careful spending.

Whether people agree with all his methods or not, one thing is clear:
Discipline matters in leadership and even in personal life.

Many people earn well today but still suffer because they cannot manage money properly.

3. The Power Of Consistency:
Before 2023, many people never believed Peter Obi could build such a strong national movement.

But through consistency, persistence and communication, he was able to gather millions of supporters across Nigeria and even outside the country.

This teaches us that consistency can turn a small idea into something powerful.

4. Young People Want To Be Heard:
One major thing Peter Obi’s movement revealed is that Nigerian youths are tired of being ignored politically.

He gave many young Nigerians hope and made them feel included in national conversations.

The lesson here is:
Never underestimate the power of listening to people, especially young people.

5. Reputation Is Important:
One reason many Nigerians support Peter Obi is because they believe he has a cleaner image compared to many politicians.

In life, your reputation can open doors for you long before you even speak.

-Build a good name.
-Protect your integrity.
-People respect consistency of character.

Whether we agree with his politics or not, Peter Obi has definitely made a strong impact on Nigerian politics and youth participation.

At the end of the day, every leader has strengths people can learn from.

The lesson is to learn good things from people regardless of political party.

A message from
Mr. Odewale Adesoye AKA Green Man.

When people talk of financial prudence about obi I just laugh, a man that his govt house budget was bigger than budget for education when he was a governor ? Someone that saved money in three banks that he had interest in when doctors were on strike for 13 months in the same state ?🤣🤣🤣

Peter Obi is not a saint but in the land of criminals, the one who pretends to be a spiritual leader will win sympathy.
SixSeven:
I watched Obi speaking to Kayode before I saw Abdullahi's interview. One thing I can tell you for free is that Obi is more measured in talking about ADC and Bolaji, Amaechi etc should learn from this. He never abuses, he was still thanking David Mark for his maturity. He knows he may still need the ADC. ADC on the other hand, from Okonkwo to Momodu keep talking down on Obi. I don't think they have learned anything from how Obi speaks about his former principals. You will never hear him abuse Atiku, even to criticize Tinubu, the interviewer had to ask him if he was afraid of calling Tinubu's name.
Now the problem I have is that our politics has sink so low that Obi is the one that looks good out of all of them. We have had low grade politicians especially since they packaged Buhari that anything Obi says look good but if you critically analyze him, you can see that we are not asking questions and we are bound to repeat the same mistakes if he wins. Nigerians get carried away by emotions and ojuelegba logic. For instance someone can say I don't trust all of them, at least, Tinubu has been there before, Atiku has been there before as VP, let me choose those ones. You know why? Nigerians have Stockholm syndrome. Any of their leaders that increase the pain for them, they somehow increase the threshold of resistance. No one is asking questions anymore and the campaign we have today is so poor that Obi is the only one talking about some of the issues. Some. He is supposed to be in debates, more question time, how do you want to fix it, do you have your cabinet ready etc but Nigerian politics today is so poor, I may not blame him for not saying everything he wants to do because once you do that, these guys will copy it or attack the person or start promoting their propaganda.

Of all the candidates, only Obi seems to have that aura of decency to inspire change. The last person that demonstrated this was Osinbajo, even though I don't support the party but he had it and everyone saw it. That so-called new Sherrif in town Lai Muhammed was touting was shown by Osinbajo in those two weeks he was in charge. Leadership is not all about bragging, power or might. Your aura matters and it is this decency that is working for Obi. He is part of the ex Governors set but his ways and conduct make him stand out and even if the other candidates copy him, if e no be panadol, e no fit be like panadol. I wish Nigeria good luck.

He is definitely a decent politician and that's the class most of his contemporaries have lost. He's not doing anything special but that decency and maturity makes him stand out. Dele Momodu was interviewed, he went aggressive on Obi, almost losing it at the end of the interview by asking if Obi is Jesus Christ and if he is sef, it will still be Atiku. Clearly frustrating to watch.

Kenneth Omonkwo did his own media tour and hit Obi too. Segun Sowunmi, Bolaji Abdullahi too. Bolaji is still the most matured of them all. Then you have Datti and his brother at PRP.

It is wisdom on Obi's part to not insult anyone, even those he worked with yesterday. He kept on thanking David Mark for giving him the opportunity to be on the ADC platform

If you have learned anything about politics in Nigeria, it is that you may one day chew your own vomit. FFK, Reno and a few others are good examples. Also watch what you say because it will be your signature. Anytime I think about wailers, I think of that Sun guy Adesina. If I think about fight, Wike is first in my mind. If I think about snatching, I think about grab it, snatch it and run away with it. The words of statesmen are very measured. As bad as e be, Atiku does not insult anyhow, Tinubu too except when he goes campaigning against his opponents etc. But these their spokesmen in an effort to show that they are working go on insult festival without thinking about tomorrow. It's sad to see men in their 50s behave like little children. Quite disgusting. If that young man Buhari used for his media assistant was still there, Anjuri or what's his name, he would have helped Tinubu's administration but taking in the likes of Bwala, Onanuga what do you get? Anything, insult! They don't realize that it is the president they are speaking for. That means if they issue a press release on what Obasanjo said yesterday, they are talking on behalf of the President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, not Mr Tinubu as they know him. The office is more important than the occupant. They have disrespected it so much it has lost its value.

Onanuga will use our public funds to be insulting OBI when there are better things to talk about your own boss. You turn Presidency into market place. It shows you that wisdom does not grow every time with age. If a young Anjuri could respect the office and make the Presidency more dignified, then it's not about age but values. The difference was clear once the new media aides took office. They don't know when to separate politics from governance.

SixSeven:
He said: “You mean that APC would be worried about ADC, NDC? I saw Atiku, he is now our best campaign manager because he is attacking Obi, and I see Obi attacking Amaechi.”

Did you read that well? Obi is the main threat to them. Unfortunately, Obi won't attack Amaechi. One of the things Obi had said in the last campaign was that he won't respond to unequals in the campaign, which when you look at it is what all the candidates did. He didn't bother responding to Omokri who was an aide, he said I will talk to your boss. He also does not respond to insults. Soludo tried to demarket him and he called him Professor who knows better can help him fix the problems he did not know how to fix. He call am brother grin

Tinubu tried to demarket him by saying he won't even call his name but he didn't respond to him at tall so if you are expecting Obi to be attacking Amaechi, sorry is your boyfriend's name.

Last time, it was Gbaja saying the ADC guy should scatter them. Tinubu said he will send Akpabio to opposition and now Oshiomole wants them to fight. If the opposition should take any notes from APC's playbook, it's that they don't want Nigerians to demand accountability from them. If you all focus and press APC's neck, e go choke. They've been in power for 12 years, they have 31+ governors, opposition should be their least worry but we know why a man who can't perform on bed will blame his wife and her family for being barren. Let her family be fighting among themselves when he's the actual problem, at least it takes attention away from the elephant in the room🤡

Go and verify what you are saying, his govt house budget was smashed by him , he at first was in an argument with the few people around him about that who wanted to squander the money , and tried to impeach him....
There is no way what you are saying can be true, a Man that commissioned the construction of boreholes in every secondary school in Anambra, renovated computer studios and built new ones for those that don't have, gave them 100 laptops each for all Secondary schools, gave each school a school bus that up till today is still moving in. Anambra State...

He even made sure that students where not intimidated by the teachers or Principal by calling the senior Perfects directly asking about the warfare of their schools...

On the issue of Doctors going on strike .....Was never his fault...

Doctors where only lamenting that their salaries can't be the same with the Nurses, physiotherapist, etc and at such went on a strike , why didn't the Nurses and other sectors of the health sector in Anambra State join the Strike huh?

If you can answer this question, then I know you are transparent and don't from the camp of the master Strategist in election grabbing, stealing and running away with it, calling results in the middle of 2am in the night ..

How come with all your beer parlour gist EFCC that receive directives from Tinubu haven't found any evidence to put on Obi but they have successfully done so for Obi's successor and predecessor?

If Obi even collected or embezzled one naira from the Anambra state coffers,Tinubu would have put Obi behind bars and thrown the key away until after the election!

It's either you have nothing on Obi or your WhatsApp group is resorting to that stale lagos propaganda machinery!

What will I learn from a tribaist?

What will I learn from a bitter bitch?

What will I learn from a bigot?

What will I learn from terrorist (ipob) sympathiser?

What will I learn from a failure?

What will I learn from a man who said education is not for the poor?

What will I learn from a man who first deported Nigerians inside Nigeria?

What will I learn from a man who sacked all non Anambra igbos from Anambra civil service?

What will I learn from Bishop Ozubulu mentor?

You want more.......?

I will rather learn something from a street mad man than obi, God forbid.
