I make simple egg toasts.

Once bread is about 2-3 days old, no one would want to eat it, so I make simple egg toasts with the bread, instead of leaving it to go completely bad, then throwing it away.

I just crack some eggs in a plate, add a little salt, and whisk.
Then I melt some margarine in a heated pan, dip each slice of the dry bread in the whisked eggs generously on both sides, and toast on both sides, 2-3 mins per side, on a low heat, till golden brown.

I think it's called a french toast.
It's a nice and light meal.

Traditionally, you'll add milk and cinnamon to the egg mix.

Note: to avoid salmonella due to raw eggs, please make sure to cook it on low heat and cover your pot/pan so it can cook to the centre.

Top it with honey or jam and you're good to go!

I've made it for someone who microwaved it afterwards, and nothing happened.

This is what we call in America French toast, only you add egg and milk plus cinnamon to it.
