Recently a friend just graduated and he saved money from school to marry his wife.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. He's a medical student who have spent 7-8 years in school.

He could wait another 7-10 years to become a consultant where he'll be making bigger sum to marry.

But time will be going then.

This is dependent on the standards you want your future family to live in.

Most men can start a family once they get their first job and learn to live within their means.

There are many Okada men out there living paycheck to paycheck with their families.

Same as many civil servants and farmers. This makes up the bulk of the population not the shining lekki apartment you see on TV.

But many young men today wants the luxury lifestyle they see on TV.

They want kids going to private school, kids that they "drive" to their schools, they can take vacation in Dubai once in a while or eat in luxury restaurants.

To achieve this, you'll want a little while and may not achieve it in this life.

My advice: if you're doing something now and you can afford to cater to a woman, one that can accept you now and live within your budget/ willing to work.

Save up and go start your family.

Don't wait for the glamour lifestyle shown on TV. Those things don't make up a happy family.

There is no timeline for starting a family. This are the kind of advise that pushes men to give birth to children without factoring finances. A man that isn’t financially stable shouldn’t bring in kids. Things happening in this country isn’t funny anymore. Children are more of heavy responsibility than blessing!

There are some handsome guys that are struggling to find just one woman to be with them. On the contrary, there are very dull people that are excelling in life beyond imagination. There are lazy people that are rich and famous. There are ugly women married to very rich and influential men. There are rich ugly women. There are ugly guys married to the hottest women you can only imagine, and etc.


So as a man you can decide that you will stand on your feet before you turn 30yrs or 35yrs and God will say He will bless you abundantly beyond your imagination before you even reach 30yrs.


God can decide to make it 50yrs, if thats your destined time, no matter how smart or hard you work, you will keep struggling and failing until you hit 50yrs and you will just realize that everything you lay your hands on will start working, even the things you once failed trying to do in the past, the stars will start aligning in your favor once you reach your God destined time.


Some people will say its all lies but they are saying it because they are destined to say it right now.

Let me add to your post, the Founder of KFC was a retired military officer, l think in the USA.

He tried several chicken recipe and was rejected by several restaurants and eateries but he never gave up

He continued and finally, his KFC crunchy chicken started making waves and the rest they say is history today

Kfc is practically everywhere on planet Earth


Summary of my post is this His glorious destiny and Manifestation Started when he was 65yrs old and retired from the military, which means that your original career or job or what you study might likely not be were your GOLD 🥇 of destiny is located but keep on doing your best, updating and upskilling yourself, and if you discover what you are created for very early in life, stick with it with all diligence because therein lies your gold but if you haven't discovered it yet, don't stay idle , keep pushing and who knows, your story might be like KFC

A wise man once said, there are some knowledge too sublime to be contained in pages of books.

Oga, there's nothing really like a man finding his feet or not in life. You can find your feet today and go back to square one tommorow. Millions of men have lost hundreds of millions of naira or their entire life savings in a single bad investment or natural disasters like fire outbreaks, flooding or even illness. What about unstable government policies that can render someone's business useless overnight Life is not black and white. E no get manual. So Oga just relax, drink enough water and live your life on your own terms. Shalom!!!

There is no set time.
Some are forced into it early due to parental failure of various kinds, while on the other extreme hand some only breakout of overpressure after parental demise.

The vast majority in the middle percentile also need a clear definition of what 'finding feet' means.
Is it getting through formal, work enabling education,
Is it getting a job,
Is it getting married,
Is it establishing personal income,
Is it even the financial ability to make independent decisions.
Is it in being competitive enough to succeed....

All these can come in a huge range of ages anywhere from thirteen to sixty. It all depends on environment, background, opportunities and standards.

PS. I am even assuming the question is in the context of man, his life's journey from birth, family and to death, i.e the cycle of life.

And unfortunately it is the narrowing of these parameters that constrains people into a box of ideals and can cause societal pressure related problems.

The three don't come at the same time. Money, power and health. If you wait till you have all the money, relationships aren't waiting for you. You learn as you get the responsibility and when you think of quitting, those responsibilities will remind you of what you are here for and why you brought them here. I will not pretend not to know the danger of not being prepared for children but the way we scare people these days is alarming and if you read the example he gave, he said Okada riders or those we think are not okay enough are already taking up these responsibilities.

Life will not wait or pause for you to succeed first before having a family. Time is no one's friend my dear.
