Chief, it’s not an ethnic battle when I say things as they are. The rate of kidnappings across the country is alarming and it points to the cluelessness and docility of the government in power. For the record, Kidnappings is more rampant in the Southwest than in the Southeast.

Well... Truly it has become more in the SW in the last few years even in some parts of Lagos like Alaba where SE businessmen were kidnapped for ransom and some of them were unalived even after payment of ransom. It really pains me when I hear about those things. The shocking part is that the kidnappings are usually orchestrated by their own tribesmen. It's not the issue of SW or SE. It's a general issue across the country. This kidnapping for ransom has become a lucrative business for many individuals and it is really chaotic. I know someone who's younger sister was kidnapped in ogidi 2months ago and she was molested while in their custody. Her parents had to bargain and beat down the ransom to 4m naira before the poor girl was released. Soludo is really trying in the aspect of reducing kidnapping and rituals in Anambra but it seems several people are still sabotaging his efforts to make the state better. We need to start speaking with one voice and not attack ourselves. It doesn't make sense. It's a national security issue. Infact ehn I don't understand why a kidnapper would be sentenced to 5yrs in prison. Why not death sentence to discourage others who want to get involved?

Unfortunately if they want to amend the law for a life imprisonment for kidnappers in the parliament, the benefactors and sponsors will kill it because they have large numbers
