If true, then it means Illegal chairmen will give way, all those who defected and were accepted by Tony Okocha will not stand, that means, those that won the ticket in APC and those that lost the ticket, all of them lost.

Appeal Court Affirms Sack Of Okocha-led Rivers APC Exco

Tony Okocha is backed by Wike.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Port Harcourt has upheld the judgment of the Rivers State High Court nullifying the congresses that produced the Tony Okocha-led executive of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State.

The appellate court, in a ruling delivered on Friday by Justice Elfreida Oluwayemisi Williams-Dawodu, affirmed the earlier decision of Justice Obomanu of the Rivers State High Court, who on December 20, 2024 declared the APC congresses in the state invalid.

Tony Okocha and members of the dissolved executive had approached the Court of Appeal in Suit No. CA/PH/523/2024 seeking to overturn the High Court judgment.

However, the Appeal Court dismissed their appeal and sustained the nullification of the congresses that brought the executive into office.

I already assumed long time that wike plan is to back PDP candidate. APC will abandon support for their candidate in the governorship election. So the Chinda guy is just being used as a pawn like they did Tonye Cole last election. Wike will back APC president and presidency will support wike PDP governor candidate. Same permutations of the last election.

I am not a fan of the APC but this is a mere legal exercise. The Okocha faction will win at the supreme court. The reason is simple: the highest court just ruled on a similar case months ago and rightfully removed Abure as the Labour Party chair on the basis of the expiration of his tenure.

If there is no difference between the two cases, Bekee will lose here too.

However, may it never be well with anyone who will vote the APC in the 2027 presidential election. May affliction and violent death experienced by the victims of the Oyo kidnapping and those gruesomely slaughtered in Benue and Plateau states never depart from those that will vote the APC in the presidential election next year.

Under Buhari, yes. But with Tinubu, nothing is ever left to chance. Your prediction will not stand.

I think Tinubu sold out APC in Rivers to Wike. Now, all his candidates are in the PDP, not the APC, and they will almost return elected with almost zero opposition.

The difference here is that in 2023, Tone Cole was in Amaechi camp, but here, SIM is in Tinubu's camp.
No need backing PDP when Tinubu can have his party and a loyal servant become the governor through APC

you didn't ask why the order came on friday, a day before INEC deadline?
It's obvious, on monday, things will take shape

And this court order came a day before all parties are to conduct primaries.
