Someone might have also stepped up before Gabriel. For some reason I hate CBs taking penalties especially a decider unless it prolongs. Really feel sorry for their fans.
A left footed CB who played 120 minutes with power in his legs is a recipe for disaster.

I've experienced 3 UCL finals with Man Utd, won 1 and lost 2.

I understand the feeling pa. The 2009 defeat stings badly that I didn't eat, woke up midnight and started replaying the whole game in my head again while counting the ceiling.

2011 own, I no even feel ham like that, just went home, ate and sleep.

There's no club I hate on earth than Barcelona. I see any Man Utd fan supporting Barca as a betrayal grin

It has been an amazing season. Unfortunately, we lost.

I knew pressure go burst pipe when we were not attacking after our goal. And Mosquera eh..
Time to regroup and maintain the standard.

Arteta gave too much respect to PSG. I don't know what he's afraid of. The same mistake ATM did against Vardrid in 2014 final. How do you score first goal early in first half and decide to park the bus. You end up inviting unnecessary pressure. Either you commit pk, score own goal or collect red card.

PSG weren't spectacular like the last final against Inter. They were there for the taking.

Not the result we expected but we move

We’re still Champions of England Familia🏆

Winning the EPL will mask or save a lil face but we have to admit, this style isn't going to get us more silverwares.

This isn't about getting over the hump or mentality thing for me. We went 1 out of 4 this season which is a poor return for the quality of this squad.

We could have won the UCL today, I mean we were right there until the end and we will forget how we won it but this is a recurring theme for Arteta and it bothers me.
Still can't believe Kai's goal was the only shot on target tonight. That compared to almost 18(9) by PSG.

I agree with you. A lot needs to change.

Me dunno why he planned for pks sha. I don't understand his strong faith in that process when its not like he has a track record for that.

Saka
Odegaard
Eze

They didn't come through today atall. But from the subs, the mess up began when Kai with tired legs was made to drop into middle to play with Gyokores. 😫😫

Slowly, it might become a theme across days that even if he has the personnel, he will use yeye tactics to make them look average.

Im proud of the guys sha. Twas a nervy affair. Seeing Hincapie do that even when Injure and Martinelli being a brother at arms to him, they really played great for each other. Upfront we just didn't impose enough to change the tide. 800passes by PSG.... Cheiii

Arsenal fans abeg make nobody over think am.

If this is your first UCL Final loss with the club, please take it easy abeg.

I have now witnessed 3 UCL Final losses across 2 clubs ( Easily 4 but I don't recollect much of the Ajax loss) and the pain is real.

Abeg everybody, just take am easy and calm down.

The boys tried their best and pushed this thing into PK.

Not the result we wanted but please take it easy.

Don't allow anyone mess with your emotions or mental health.
Very inspiring, captivating, motivating and heartfelt words.

Lmao Madueke was dragging penalty with Palmer when 4-0 up vs Everton but this time he no see penalty drag

And it is not like he doesn’t know how to take them

I thought Gyokores should have come in sooner than he did. Havertz was already spent and could barely stay on his feet.

His exhaustion was buttressed by overhitting simple passes inside the box that had Saka open and constantly dropping to the ground during duels.

Also, I am disappointed it took conceding a silly foul that led to a PK for Arteta to finally remove Mosquera. Mosquera should have been subbed as soon as he copped that yellow. Kvara attacked him even more after that yellow.

Even that 08 final keeps me up sometimes when I remember how close we were to losing. We were on the brink if not for that slip. No way Drogba would have missed that.

We sha thank God. I don witness my club win one

Kvara was ghost until he saw that juicy yellow. My my.

Somethings need to change after tonight. One of them is this stale possession for any finals we've been in. If we want to win the ucl, we need to control the game and not sit back without a creative plan to counter like Cr7 real madrid team under Zidane.

On one side, consolation go wan dey say na pk. But on the other hand, this team will regret not having more possession of the ball especially AFTER the top threats of PSG were subbed off. That was the cue to change the entire dynamics of the game. We had the exact personnel on the field to change the dynamics and hold onto the ball more. Were we locked in mentally?Arsenal my my dear Club!!

Zidane's Madrid never had such poverty possession stats in a UCL final or any big KO game for that matter. In fact, Madrid dominated possession in all their UCL wins except for the 2022 final vs Liverpool where they had 46% possession and 2016 vs Tico (48%). I can even understand 40% possession, but 25% in a UCL final is borderline Eibar vs Barca stats. So abeg no compare Arteta Haram Ball masterclass with Madrid UCL winning teams.

2006 guys played with 10 men from the 18th minute of the 1st half. Wetin be these ones excuse, if not Haram approach from the 1st minute?

🚨 Quick reminder that Arsenal got a Prize Money of £30M for Champions League Second place . But Arsenal will pay Chelsea £35 M for Achieving that with Kai Havertz, Noni Madueke and Kepa.

😂😂😭

Performances like this is exactly why I did not want to go into the final day looking for a win to win the title. I don’t trust Arteta to come up big when it matters most.

You are "now" blaming coach for a tactics that win you the league trophy 🏆
90% of your games this season ended 1zero and you were on an unbeaten run to the final.

For me I think the first subs killed the game for arterta
