The mistake you will ever make is comparing Buhari to Tinubu as if they are politically equivalent.

Buhari and Tinubu are not the same. Before becoming president, Buhari had a tested and consistent political base of roughly 10–12 million loyal votes across multiple election cycles. Whether you liked him or not, his popularity was organic and undeniable.

Tinubu, on the other hand, has never demonstrated anything close to that level of independent electoral strength. His political relevance has largely depended on party structures, governors, incumbency advantages, and state machinery. Strip away those structures and it's difficult to point to a massive personal voting bloc comparable to Buhari's.

As for online polls, nobody is claiming they determine election results. They simply reflect public sentiment and approval at a given moment. The fact that Tinubu and the APC are recording rejection rates of this magnitude should concern any serious political observer rather than be dismissed with jokes.

On performance. Buhari was heavily criticized for insecurity, economic challenges, and governance failures. Yet Tinubu inherit those problems, instead of making live easier for Nigerians, he ended up making life harder for Nigerians through removal of subsidy on fuel and electricity, soaring inflation, a collapsing cost of living, and worsening economic hardship. And worst of it, an insecurity level never witnessed in the history of this country. If Buhari underperformed, Tinubu's record so far is a catastrophe.

The biggest mistake anyone can make heading into 2027 is assuming that because Buhari survived public criticism, Tinubu will automatically enjoy the same political resilience. Buhari had a bankable personal following. Tinubu does not. Those are two very different political realities.

embarassed It's been 11 years since APC took power and we remember GEJ warning Nigerians against choosing darkness over light in 2014

The decaying goat herder that spent 8 years borrowing and traveling around the globe before handing over to a clueless drug baron can never achieve anything meaningful in any nation.

What is really most Nigeria 🇳🇬
Youth problems
Am saying this because of the situation the APC government has puttin we all through ,
Most family's in Nigeria 🇳🇬 can not afford two meals a day
But due to tribalism (tribe)
They still want to VOTE the same person that is killing every body .
Bread 🍞 is not cheaper in south east or the northern part of the country nor western part too

And the person they are voting for is well off with his own family .

Guys know this and be guided....
Re: 70% Rejection Of Tinubu And APC By National Polls. by jaguar1997: 6:38am On May 31
Let's VOTE wisely not with tribalism.

We all are suffering together
Let's do things differently this time

You people keep muddling up everything......buhari himself alluded that for tinubu he wouldn't have been president......yrs buhari had he vote bank but lacked effective structure to make it work, tinubu structure is undeniably the strongest in the country since pdp and if you discountenance that in the name of some superfluous online poll,it will be at your peril......that structure has actually grown since 23 with 34 govs, legislators, elites and old allies and to top it with incumbency and power of coercion and patronage......you are quite right tinubu with power isn't same as buhari and gej.

Primaries are a better reflection of realities on the ground and tell me which one comes close to that of the apc another barometer is the bye elections and apc got about 90% of that.....if that doest reveal to you in plain site then,I am sorry I cant help you.

What will obi and atiku do differently from what tinubu has done, are they going to bring back subsidy, are they going to keep defending the naira by serving artificial value? Will they end NELFUND, will tbey stop the coastal Rd and the sokoto badagry highway? Will they stop the AKK gas pipeline project?

On insecurity tinubu is failing terribly but we still cannot ignore some things he has done in that sector and other sectors, that same economy you are complaining about is getting international acknowledgement for getting to stability within 3 years of the debacle tinubu met it.

"Economy is bad, economy is bad" as obidients are always shouting.

Increase in foreign reserves

Increase in gdp

NGX had grown to 160 trillion

Bank recapitalisation of 500b was successful

Debt servicing to revenue ratio is mow about 66% from over a 100%

FDI is still coming in to the tune of 20b usd in 25.

State govs are all paying their workers salaries without borrowing and asking for bail out as was the case under buhari and now have capacity to take on even bigger projects.

An economy that's so bad as you are all quick to claim cannot achieve all these in 3 years.

Many good and incisive point but I disagree with the above. No president, not even if we put Jesus in the position with his ability to perform miracle, can succeed in a short period of time over insecurity because the problems are many, structural, ethno-religious, concerning land expansionism and layered to even include some intangibles Nigerians don't account for.

like ideological indoctrination making these terrorists appear like heroes "emancipators' and inspirations in their local community.

Have you not seen many gathering in the North where bandits and terrorists convene with virtually the entire community celebrating them?

The problem is that many Nigerians are not critical thinkers.

We don't account for the fact that Hausas and Fulanis lag behind others significantly in education and skillset.

They have clerics, political, cultural and business leaders (we have seen the list of sponsors of terror) who tell Northern youth, that Northern leaders at all levels have failed, that others are their nemesis.

They will make a convincing case Christians and others are the enemies to be dethroned for the North to rise and dominate.

With the composition of Nigerian and our structural challenges, plus the North-South dichotomy we all ignore, I believe our educated class should have evolved beyond thinking one man can solve all our problems.

If we have an educated class that can think critically and produce solutions, as others worldwide can, the answer is obvious.

We must convene a national conference where every ethnic group talk honestly and critical decisions are made all and sundry must abide with. If the decision is regionalism, let it be done the very next day. If the conference agree on State policing, true fiscal federalism, resource control etc then implementation should begin instantly.

Check out the video below with one comment that mirrors what I have always said which is that where is the visible and sincere effort of Northern leaders to solve the insecurity and socio-economic problems their people are causing for Nigeria?

Nobody can solve the problem of insecurity stemming from the North when so many Northerners are abetting it and have turned it into a way of life.

@ least North West and North East Muslim tribes liked buhari.

Which other region like tinubu apart from some people in SW?

Don't worry you think rigging can continue forever. You will soon see what you're looking for.

You think you can face North and SE/SS protest?

In buhari's case, your region teamed up with North but in the case of tinubu, all the regions except SW are against him.

Let's see how you can stand Obidients and Atiku supporters in 2027 after the rigging.
