Its a deliberate act from the imam. Don't be surprised that in the nearest future those kids will choose to follow the Islamic ways. Thats how they gradually convert people without them knowing.

His parents got the consent form for the visit, the child knew where he was going,If you are not comfortable with that then you kindly don't sign the consent form for your child to be taken to a mosque or you tell your child to stay outside.
Going into the mosque and doing that is disrespectful.

You cant bow to Allah in the mosque without performing wudu. You cant wudu if you are not muslim. You cant be allowed in the mosque if your are unlean and non muslim in the first place.
