I lived in a compound that housed 18flats, mostly 2 bedroom each in onipanu area
But the water running in the compound was meant for only the landlord
So we fetched outside or pay aboki to supply us water
And also no cars was allowed to park in the compound except the landlord son car

This one of me. 😁

Almost same with my former place.
Although landlord no day stay but no car park.
Also onipanu. And the worth is the rent is so expensive like you are getting all the facilities a normal house should have.

I live in a quiet rented apartment, young couples and wealthy folks coming into the town to do business.

My neighbors are matured and warm in nature/character.

Light bills paid, cooperation 100% to the extent landlord gives us huge Christmas/New year package every year.

The rent will be increased next year, but I don't mind. I'll continue to stay till if finish building my house.

God bless my landlord.

The one I stay presently, owner is asking me to remove my AC because I am not using her conduit installation. The conduit is bad and to use it, I will need to remove the entire pipe and reconstruct it. I've drilled hole. But she insists I use conduit.
Whereas in one of my commercial houses, a tenant installed solar panel on my roof even when the agreement says otherwise. I'm not fighting him. He should just sign an undertaking of fixing the roof before he leaves when it's time

This issue of fixing solar without notice by tenants. I want to ask… if at event the roof of the house strt to leak, would the tenant ask the landlord to fix it?
Moreso, what is the considerate number of years before rents are review and to what considerate percentage. Please just asking

My neighbors' ward in the opposite block bringing bedbug into my parlor.

Up till now, I have tried 4 times to remove the bedbug from my sofa. I have bought chemicals and used but I still see them after two weeks.

I have really really suffered. Once it is 12am dot, they will start coming out like zombie when I flash light on corner areas. It smells very very very bad when I kill it.

This experience is very painful

Have you tried sniper and insecticide together, sniper combo is bomb o.

My 2 experiences living in Lagos apartments where same issues that made me kukuma leave the Lagos for them. How will you wake up from morning til night everywhere dey smell igbo, it was embarrassing.

Hmm, I dont think it is good idea. Or you don't plan building houses in future? The man will just use the anger to jackup the rent for incoming tenants and also be more wicked.

this normal in Nigeria unless you live high cost areas.
I have lived in a ghost hunted duplex before. Almost everyday whenever it clocks 11pm-2am in the night , you would start hearing strange things inside the house. Sometimes it comes as cruel screams, sometimes heavy footsteps and sometimes unexplained Loud banging of doors and windows. I stayed there for 2full months before leaving. Funny thing was that I never believed such things happens I finally had that experience. Infact there was a weekend that two of my male friends visited me , I told them about me but they doubted me. The very 1st day they came , things started happening. They were watching movie in the palour while I was in my room working. Immediately it was few minutes after 11pm , they ran into my space with fear written over their face. They said they heard some cries of beasts and that there was some bang on the door of the palour. My lady had the same experience only that it came in form of a dream where they nearly choked her to death before I willingly packed out. Things dey happen oh but you no go believe till it happens to you.

Non chalant attitude by the landlord and caretaker to house maintenance. The roof has been leaking ever since I moved in, all my complaints fell on deaf ear.

In my Compound , am the one in charge of electricity bill. There is this Ijebu guy that find delight in refusing to pay bill. Not that he doesn't have money Ooooo...cause he drives bike for commercial use. He's currently owing about 8 months bill.

If you are going to the police, do it discretely so they won't know it is you that reported them

Some of those boys can be dangerous
