Please advice, I had the drive light blinking and VSA light on when I hard accelerated from 1 to 2 over the weekend. The transmission stopped shifting and when I scanned, the code was P0756. I cleared the code and transmission worked again. I noticed that the code comes up when I drive on bad untarred road. The code is shift solenoid B stuck off. What do I do?
Gearbox needs to be dropped and solenoid B on the valve body changed.

My guess is that your car is misfiring right ?
Well from your scan report about three of your coils are not working fine, to properly diagnose it the three coils complained should be swapped individually with the one still good to check to see if the fault goes to the other cylinder ( for a 4 plugs engine )
If it’s a v6 then you’d swap with the corresponding 3 cylinder on the other back to see if the fault goes to that cylinder
Re: The HONDA Club by Jefferyzz(m): 7:22pm On Apr 11
U just said the vehicle front goes up with just 1 bag of cement in the truck. That means the suspension is bad. U can't use your 2008 Ridgeline experience to judge the 2011 variant. 2006-2008 are not known for their strength, however 2011 n 2012 are better

Thank you for your opinion and response. The issue was a wiring problem. I got a rewire to help correct it which he did and the code cleared completely.

Thank you God.
The specialist sent his boy and the boy said his boss not around now, and he’s still learning, that I should towed the car to his workshop for proper evaluation. So I won’t be using him. I’m going to where it’s parked today and will try to get a gear specialist that will take it on. If anyone has a good gear master on here, I wouldn’t mind. Thank you sir, I appreciate the help. I will update how it’s going from her on out. Blessings.

Good morning house, I drive a honda accord 2018 touring but I am confused on the type of coolant to use. Is it the honda genuine extended life anti freeze type 2 or the honda long life anti freeze type 2. I will appreciate if I can get clarity on which to use

The long life is what you should use for either the 1.5l/ 2.0 l engine

Hello House, I have my 2007 accord for sale. Leather seat, 4 plugs, open roof, etc. Come with your mechanicfor inspection. LocationisEgbedalagos
Donald3d:
1. Go for 06/07
2. Scan the car
3. Take it for a test drive
4. Scan it again after the test drive (Because some fault codes don't show up , until you drive it for some distance )
5. Check the suspension components especially the ball joint
6. Make sure the Oxygen sensor doesn't give a fault code, the Tokunbo upstream sensor(The short one) is very scarce , except you want to import the OEM which costs between 250-400k
7. Check for the catalytic converter, if it isn't there and you like the car, use it to beat the price down.
8. Buy the 4 cylinder engine
9. I don't know your preference , but the leather seat is a more comfortable ride. I think only the EX trim for 4 cylinder comes with leather seat/
Re: The HONDA Club by kelvinmnet(m): 1:11pm On May 20

2017 is not a bad buy as long as you have access to parts and mechanics for repairs.
Where is the car in question?

People usually discourage turbo engines as it needs special handling. So I was advised when I was considering the same car and I listened and got the EX which uses the 2.0 NA engine. So far so good.

The 2017 Civic touring albeit in sedan form would come with the 1.5l turbo engine and from research and personal experience working on the 2018 Honda accord with a variant of that engine, they tend to develop turbo underboost problems that’ll require purchase of a new turbocharger, the said vehicle also has had several history of head gasket failure and while checking out for recalls or tsbs on the car I noticed a lot of people complained the same issue with the 1.5l T engine . The 2.0 NA version is better but for the touring trim you want I doubt it’s available. I can also help inspect for you if you’re in Lagos

I reside in Lagos, so I think access to parts won't be an issue. Right?
I've attached photo of the car

Please how has been your experience so far with the EX trim? How long now and any major heads-up?

I just like the added spec of the touring trim tho

Are there usage and maintenance culture that can help reduce the risk of turbocharger replacement? Also, what's the cost of the replacement.
Yes I'm in Lagos. Happy to connect with you boss

I like the added features too but when several people were against turbo engine, I just let it go. So far, I've done just the oil change after purchase. Maintenance minder telling me to change the transmission and brake oils on my next service. Had it since October and everything is 💯

Hi good afternoon sir, for the turbo it was about 800k ish
Now, maintenance culture that’ll probably keep this car from tbis frequent issues is
- do your oil changes regularly, the engines actually face oil dilution issues with fuel but can be managed with frequent oil change
- head gasket failure; now this are common on this engines to go out and I’d liken it to pushing this cars to their extreme really. For example the Honda accord I worked on, the owner floors the pedal when trying to move ( almost redlining the engine , this really creates a lot of cylinder pressure and would ultimately lead to head gasket failure if done frequently
So my two personal key point for this engine are
- frequent oil changes
- driving them with ease really
You can always reach out at 08028992075 whenever you’re ready sir

Thank you so much sir for your response.

This is quite insightful and aligns with some of the research I've done on the 1.5T engine.

I'm not a racer smiley so I think I'll be fine with gradual acceleration.

Maybe after a physical inspection of the car, I'll decide if to go for the touring trim or the EX trim.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience. I'll buzz you.

Thanks so much for your response.

I think I'll first go with a Honda Civic specialist for physical inspection then decide if to continue with the touring or just jejely get EX (which is also good).

Thanks everyone for your time and expertise.
