I walk more than 10,000 steps almost everyday. I deliberately do this to born excess sugar and excess calories.... Downside is you get kinda slim... You should try it

Nice one. I want to start doing it everyday. Maybe in the evening I take a long walk. My kind of job doesn't make me go out often. I hardly go out, unless on Sundays or to go buy some things I need. |

Every day bawo. My own walk is like 1-2 times in a week. One hour go come. There is a train track around me, very good to reason while walking. When things get hot, I cool it off with the light walk. Also burn unnecessary fat. Awa eyan Whiz Khalifa's same look for decade |

True. Though this has to be mixed with a healthy lifestyle. Eating right, sleeping well, avoiding excess sugar. Doing one while ignoring the others is counterproductive |

nlfpmod:Don't put that on work, schedule time for morning exercise... Sitting in one place all day every day is a recipe for disaster when you clock 40-50 years. I work from and I spend tons of time time sitting. I've created an hour - 30 minutes for for exercise daily. 6am I'm out jogging for 45 minutes, from there straight to gym for 30 minutes, then walk home. By 7 or 7:30 I'm done, take my bath and I'm ready for the day. It's all about dedication... Prior to this, I use to fall sick almost every 3 months. I can't even talk about the waist and body pain I used to battle with everyday. Ever since I started exercising for 2 years I've not fall sick for once and all pains are gone. |

There are level of calories to burn , calories burnt while walking alone , can't be compare to the one burnt while running.. you burn calories to gather enough energy, boost your immune etc... i burn calories daily not by running but by exercise, like Chinese bend ( popularly called bend carry if you do acrobatics) X20, Push-ups 30,JKD defend&attack technique X50 and 100 west 👊 👊 ... Even thou you Sabi Acrobatics pass Aghaowa by the time you do 5 Chinese bend, your heart must be racing more faster than who dey run up mountain |

Walking 10,000 steps a day is good for general health, but the idea that it simply "burns excess sugar and excess calories" is an oversimplification. You cannot outwalk a poor diet. If calorie intake consistently exceeds calorie expenditure, walking alone will not solve the problem. Also, becoming slim is not automatically a downside or an upside. Health is determined by factors such as body composition, muscle mass, cardiovascular fitness, blood sugar control, nutrition, and overall wellbeing, not just body size. Furthermore, the 10,000 step target was originally a marketing concept, not a scientific threshold. Some people achieve excellent health outcomes with fewer steps, while others need additional exercise, strength training, and dietary discipline. Walking is valuable, but presenting it as a near universal answer to excess sugar and calories ignores the bigger picture of nutrition, metabolism, genetics, sleep, and lifestyle. A better message would be: "Walking regularly helps improve health and increase calorie expenditure, but it works best when combined with proper nutrition and healthy habits." |

Walking a long distance has been my thing right from secondary days. That is the way I used to keep fit since I stopped playing football. I can cover 15 to 20 km on foot |

I drive to and from work everyday and so manage to do between 4.5k to 6.0k daily because I do a lot of walking in between spots during work. Getting 10k a day is quite hard after the stress of traffic, driving activities etc.
