Because leadership in Africa is viewed as turn by turn. Happens at the village level, where the chief is rotated among the various royal 'families' for peace to reign, happens at national level, because Nigerians...and that includes Obi supporters and tinubu supporters all see their man as a source of money.

Every tribe in Nigeria does it. And if you think it is a Nigerian thing, read this book...It is our turn to eat.

That is how tinubu came to power. It was his turn to eat, and that is how all Nigerian leaders came to power, and will continue to come to power. Because that is the attitude of most Nigerian people. Poverty has reduced us to looking at development as a means of chopping money, not as a means of stimulating industrial growth and development.

Saying the above means in some people's mind that I am supporting tinubu...because people do not like to hear the truth. That the obidient is just like the tinubu supporter, like the atiku supporter, etc.

Nigerians do not like the truth. The cold truth is that whether we remove or replace emilokan, and we should remove him, (and saying we should remove tinubu and vote Obi means I am an tinubu supporter, according to people like Severussnape, lol)....Nigeria is not going to change. Because people look at politics as taking turns to eat. Obasanjo was voted in on the principle of 'it is yourba people';s turn to eat...same with Yaradua, same with GEJ...it was the south's turn to eat...same with Buhari, same with tinubu. And Nigeria continues on the line of underdevelopment

I am going to vote for Obi next year, not because I am convinced that he would change Nigeria, but because i have no choice but to do so. All we have left is to use our vote to punish the elite every four years. Because as far as I am concerned, Nigeria will never progress until we stop seeing government and development as 'free money'.

And if we split the country the same issue. Biafra will not be the japan of Africa because no Biafran leader is going to start with the hard measures Japan took to become developed. The raison d'etre for biafra was and is...oil money, just as the raison d etre for Nigeria is oil money. When it is all about how much we can chop...development will not happen.

That is why all subsaharan african countries are broke. Most people, including the whites , are in it to chop, not to develop. When we stop chopping and start using our resources to do good for the world, we will see progress.

Northerners don't care whether the terrorism is killing them or not. So far you share their beliefs, go for it. They will support you. Even as Fulani bandits are decreasing their numbers, their elites will keep sponsoring them and ensuring you MUST not complain and keep voting them.

Why is Peter Obi held to a different standard? Democracy is about policies, competence, character, and vision—not ethnic assumptions.

While some people are busy demanding endless clarifications from Obi, where is the outrage over the insecurity crippling our country? Just recently, 40 school children and their teachers were kidnapped—a tragic reminder that Nigeria’s real crisis is insecurity. Parents live in fear, schools are under siege, farmers cannot go to their farms, and innocent citizens are constantly terrorized. Instead of creating suspicion around Obi, political commentators should be demanding answers and action from those responsible for these crimes.

Nigeria needs action against kidnappers, bandits, and terrorists—not endless political distractions. Remove these criminal elements from our forests, highways, and communities so Nigerians can live, work, and travel in safety. That is what matters.

The real issues are clear: insecurity, unemployment, inflation, poverty, corruption, failing infrastructure, and declining quality of life. National unity is built on fairness, justice, and equal treatment, not by questioning one candidate endlessly while ignoring the same questions for others.

Every candidate should be judged by the same standard. If Peter Obi’s vision appeals to voters, they should support him. If not, they are free to vote for someone else. That is democracy in action.

Nigeria doesn’t need more ethnic suspicion or political distractions. Nigeria needs leaders who can solve real problems. Until we demand that, our children, schools, and communities will continue to suffer.

Let’s stop wasting energy on assumptions and start focusing on results. That is the Nigeria we all deserve.
