Haruna argued that while the support of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso could be valuable, it is not enough on its own to deliver the Core North, North-West and North-East, to Peter Obi. He unveiled little-known political realities within the region, stressing that Obi must personally engage northern leaders, build relationships at the grassroots, and clearly communicate his positions on key issues.

The outspoken COPDEM chairman also outlined strategic steps he believes could significantly improve Obi’s chances in the region ahead of the 2027 presidential election, offering a rare insider perspective on the political calculations shaping the race for Aso Rock.

He spoke well and I think Obi should commence engagement with northern leaders and build bridges. This is so important. He should use Rabiu's influence and penetrate the North. South East is already for him, all he needs to do is to encourage the people to register for pcv, collect their pvc and come out to vote. For South South the love is still there.
