Your supporters(obidients) do not like protests. They believe they will be targetted because of the fallout of the bitter war decades ago and so are always waiting for others to protest while they rationalize and celebrate the ensuing chaos a protest produces.

They did it when Jonathan was prevented from acting in place of Yar A'dua. It was the people on the side of Adeboye at 2012 subsidy protests/2013 prayer walk that also fought for Jonathan but Obidients became his fiercest supporters until their chest beating attitude left him isolated.

So basically the opposition then only played opposition by pointing out a d criticizing what was wrong and making mockeries when they can.

Today's opposition would do same today if the same scenario play out. That doesn't mean they would be fighting for the acting president.
