raumdeuter:Baba We know say Tunde own dey Tribal, anybody with a clear mind could see it but you see this Fr. Mbaka and Adeboye comparison, e no gel at all. Adeboye na overseer of his own church and he answers to no one in fact at the risk of sounding blasphemous Adeboye is on par with the Pope while Mbaka is on par with the likes of Sola Olukoya and Ibitoye |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Ellexy: 3:09pm On Jun 04 |
raumdeuter:It's simple, because constant negotiation with terrorists and granting their requests keeps incentivising and enabling them. The stocks of banditry and kidnapping has never been higher than it is currently since Nigeria was founded and that is under your oga's watch. So bad that his region is under threat of being overrun by terrorists and you're here talking about negotiating with them. Yeah they should pay them and get ready to keep doing business with them.

Personally I think at the end of the day criticizing religious leaders for government failings (as much as is your right) is misplaced priority. Is Adeboye, Kumuyi, Mbaka, or the Sultan of Sokoto the President of Nigeria? Are they in charge of the Army or Police? You might say lending powerful voices might help the situation but how far can powerful voices really go if those in charge don't do the right thing. Michelle Obama held up BBOG placard that year are they all back? Adeboye has generally always stayed in his lane when dealing with various Presidents over the years. From Obj, to Yar Adua, Goodluck, and Buhari I can't recall Adeboye explicitly addressing them directly on any failing of their government. You might not agree with his stance which is fair enough but criticizing him for an action which he has consistently displayed since 1999 is over the top. izzou: |

Lighthouses no dey blow horn, they just shine. If Tinubu is really doing well, he will be easy to defend. No one will need to embarrass his or herself on national and international TV just to defend him. See another clown 🤡

chrisooblog:I wanted to actually engage you, but your first paragraph already shows you clearly don't understand what our argument has been about. There's no where I criticized Adeboye for failing to secure us. There is nowhere I blamed him for the insecurity in Nigeria. If you find anywhere I did so, please quote it If this is what you understood by my posts, believe me, I don't know where to start engaging you from. |

chrisooblog:Thank you👌 He has said that his own duty to preach the Kingdom of God and win millions of souls for God. If he fails in that aspect and anyone can criticizes him, on that basis, I would understand. Moreso, he has repeatedly stated that he has advised those in government on several occasions, and he does not have the power to compel them to implement his recommendations. At the end of the day, giving advice is one thing, and doing it is another. |

Ellexy:That is a textbook and theoretical answer, in real life and real world, people negotiate with terrorists everyday When Britany Griner was held in Russia for being in possession of a smoke vape to secure her release US had to negotiate with Russia and Russia demanded the release of a brutal arms dealer who has ben responsible for American death, America granted it. released the guy When the Hamas terrorists captured Israeli party goers, to get them released Hamas demanded the release of all their convicted criminals in Israeli prison, some of these prisoners had killed Israelis and promised to kill more, Yet Israel granted their wish and released them to secure their hostage The negotiation between Iran which is classified as a terrorist regime by the US will include granting some of Irans request including financial and other things Imagine if any of these Oriire kids were the Speakers son or nephew, do you think he will negotiate or not? America that sells the mantra "Don't negotiate with terrorists" do that on a regular basis. I have friends in the US army who have told me how many times they took Dollars in bags to unknown locations to "Shady people" to get things done, Later the govt will come out and tell you it was commando work |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Ellexy: 4:05pm On Jun 04 |
raumdeuter:The elephant you can't ignore is that insecurity has multiplied exponentially and expanded to new territories under Tinubu, that is real life. Tinubu's effort or the lack thereof has only emboldened terrorism and banditry, that is real life reality in 2026 Nigeria. The buck of this stops at his table as the GCFR, he should stop politicising this insecurity and do his primary job of securing lives and property of those he's leading. Negotiation or not, none of it is even working under him either to curb the problem or protecting the lives of citizens. |

Ellexy:How is Tinubu making it a political issue? The govt has been doing a lot to eliminate terrorists, everyday I see posts by amoto on terrorists being eiminated daily Its true that insecurity has expanded, and getting worse, but what is also true is that govt is doing a lot to curb it |

I think I have waited long enough, over 2 hrs now, Since Izzou and Raybluedick asked for evidence of Pastor Adeboye's statement, I provided the post they requested. Since then, there has been no response from either of them. To be honest, I wasn't expecting one, because it is difficult to argue against facts. Interestingly, there is currently a topic on Nairaland's front page now, where Peter Obi cautioned young people about comments attributed to Pastor Adeboye and advised them to verify every claim before accepting it as truth. That is what I have been saying here now for the past 24hrs Moreso, Mike Bamiloye also stated that Pastor Adeboye gave the security ultimatum as far back as last year, yet not a single major media outlet reported it. This is why it is important to verify information for yourself rather than relying solely on headlines or popular narratives. I have said it here before, the media will often give you what they know you want to hear, but not what you need to know. Facts remain facts, whether the media chooses to amplify them or ignore them.

I don't know how true this is, but people on Twitter are speculating these are the demands of the kidnappers.. They are alleging point number actually involved the state assembly amending laws to accomodate the Fulani militia allocation of lands and Sharia law being introduced in the state. PS: I don't know how true this is, but different accounts on Twitter are claiming they got the info from internal sources.

MorataFC I understand if you are a member of RCCG, and please don't take my draggings as something mixed with agenda. I apologize if my comments look offensive to you. That's not my intention. I'm also a Christian. The same way I am dragging Adeboye, is the same way I am dragging my own Vicar too. You cannot claim to be our leader and keep quiet when your sheep is being slaughtered Yes, you can be mute about the economy and other stuff. I have no issues with that. But when people are killed senselessly, you should speak. You should be the conscience of the government, and not just dropping comment like it's a casual thing. One of the qualities of a prophet is to rebuke evil. If you say God called you, God must give you that voice to call out evil. Our religious leaders are mute. Nigerians are killed everyday, and nobody calls these things out. I still insist that if a Christian was president and these killings were happening, Muslim leaders would have dragged him to the last, and yes, that's the right thing to do. Churches would be burnt and they would move on. Hundreds would be killed and it's just another day. Is that what Jesus Christ would have done? No vex if I offend your belief. It wasn't my intention in any way |
