Is it the Tinubu controlled media that you're referring to or the opposition led media cos I could argue they deliberately failed to amplify it so it won't make Tinubu look bad that Pst Adeboye is questioning his handling of insecurity.

Yes, you can be mute about the economy and other stuff. I have no issues with that. But when people are killed senselessly, you should speak. You should be the conscience of the government, and not just dropping comment like it's a casual thing.

One of the qualities of a prophet is to rebuke evil. If you say God called you, God must give you that voice to call out evil. Our religious leaders are mute. Nigerians are killed everyday, and nobody calls these things out.

I still insist that if a Christian was president and these killings were happening, Muslim leaders would have dragged him to the last, and yes, that's the right thing to do.

Churches would be burnt and they would move on. Hundreds would be killed and it's just another day. Is that what Jesus Christ would have done?

Ok so what Pulse posted was re-echoing what Bishop Adeboye has already said last year. It was confusing because the post was made on June 2nd on X according to the article. The confusing part is his consistent use of 90 days maybe

Therein lies the problem. The moment that money is paid the terrorists will cash out and disappear into thin air.

The terrorists and their affiliate will move on to another kidnap job and will keep moving across state lines unchallenged.

I dey reason say normally if things work the way they ought to work in this country, the moment the kidnap was reported within hours, DSS, The army and maybe the airforce should've set a joint taskforce that will give those guys a chase or at least track them via unmanned drones deep inside the forest. At least DSS would have office in a state like Oyo, coordinating a search and rescue mission within hours after the incident happened would've saved everybody this headache now. Not that after the terrorists have moved for days, then we start setting up a team and deploying forest guards.

I thought we all know what DSS stands for.
The work of the DSS is to track people who criticize government officials or government policies online, and also to intimidate/harass opposition members.

The over 1 million people who were at the camp ground or watched the programme online already know what Pastor Adeboye said. The problem is with the over 200 million Nigerians who neither attended nor watched and therefore depend on the media for information. When the media fails to report such statements, it fails those people, leaving them uninformed and vulnerable to false narratives. As a result, the 1 million people who witnessed the statement firsthand end up arguing with the remaining 200 million Nigerians, who may see them as liars or overly defensive simply because the media failed to tell them.

And my question is this, what if the media is deliberately shielding Tinubu by choosing not to amplify what Pst Adeboye actually told his congregation? By doing so, it creates the impression that Adeboye is supportive of the administration when, in reality, he may be quite critical of it.

That’s the point I’m making. Media bias can also be about what is deliberately ignored or underreported. If critical comments are buried while favorable narratives are amplified, the public ends up with a distorted picture of where influential figures truly stand. Get my point now?
