1, Water less if using natural irrigation method
2 don't let water touch tomatoes and leaves
3, create deep furrows for water
4, If possible, apply pest control in the night
5, choose your seeds carefully, for me going forward, Cobra 26 F1 a no no for me.
6, Avoid watery tomatoes, please find Potassium Nitrate.

I made a mistake on Cobra 26 F1. As an inexperience farmer, I could not handle it's growth potential. Do going forward, I have to handle the ones that need minimum attention and with greater yeild and market value. All I need is
1, Control water
2, Application of fertilizer 15:15:15
3, Find MOP or
4, Find Potassium Nitrate and Calcium nitrate fertilizer.

Sir this information is very good but I did not have access to those. The results
1, watery tomatoes
2, rots everywhere
3, Low yield expecially from the Cobra 26 F1

51 days today....no rain.... Grade1 today is 45k

Weldone. This is a lot of input already expended to get to this stage with sparse rainfall. Though it's been raining steadily in parts of Oyo and Ogun states.

Seems God is rewarding our efforts this season .
For the 1st time, Tomato climbed up to 85k per crate last week in mile 12. It dropped a bit this week.
Markets seem unpredictable now because this time last year, it sold @20k average.

I hope it maintained the momentum till September

I have achieved 150 crate on 2.2k stand once, the land is very fertile, I use manure,npk, potassium nitrate,foliar fertilizer and the weather is very favourable. If it is green house, you can see x3 of that. Disease is the culprit that reduces our yield drastically.
