Arteta has to use style to move from the Odegaard era. Concerns are on Saka now. We only hope he's going to go lethal next season with Timber behind him.

We may get a CM, DM, RCM and still have Merino. But I'll rather not see Merino and Rice together sha. It will be funny if a CM and LW arrive and they form new and strong chemistry with Gyokores on arrival.
All these can't happen in one summer transfer window tho.

You actually think Havertz will move away from Arsenal at this stage? Isn't it clear enough that he's one of Arteta's fave?

Also, I don't see Arteta moving away from Odegaard in that AM/CM role. Being the team's captain gives Odegaard some kind of insurance that will always guarantee his place in the team except he goes completely out of form and Eze is given chance. The fact that Odegaard has very good work rate while Eze is the exact opposite will always make Odegaard Arteta's preferred choice in that middle except we get another player which seem to be very unlikely.

I think Merino will most likely play more as a false 9 like he did last season when he was banging in goals. I just hope that will not stop Berta from getting a decent striker to fill the vaccum Gabriel Jesus' departure will create in our frontline.

Yes o! Evidence of results cancelling insult!

He's the only manager amongst the current crop of EPL managers that has actually won the league.

I still marvel at the fact that his team came 2nd for 3 consecutive seasons, he didn't lose steam nor relent but made sure they kept pushing till they won the next year. It's actually not easy at all with that much pressure and fear of failure imminent .

Arteta and the boys really deserve big kudos honestly.

I like the news I'm hearing that we want to wrap up our business in the Transfer market this window ASAP without any unnecessary delay or negotiations drawing far too long. It is music to my ears cool

The fact that we are in a good place financially and we have a serious/solid team that just won the league definitely makes it easy for us to attract top talents in the market.

I just hope we will clear our departure list too early. Let players like Gabriel Jesus and co be gone ASAP so we can know those who are staying and those leaving on time.

I don't know Arteta's mind as regards Nwaneri , but if he will be staying we might not need to get another AM to deputize Odegaard and Eze. I think it will be best Nwaneri is developed for that AM role while Dowman should be for that RW behind Saka and Madueke.

Nwaneri might be heading to Villa as part of the Morgan deal.

Not a bad deal if things play out like that sha. Morgan is a very good player and I like how he strikes the ball with his physical strength.

That means we may need to sign a new AM except Merino will be playing CM/AM/CF as the occasion may demand.

We might need to sign a good DM too.

But nothing will please me most for that Attack to click as we've already settled this Defensive mentality side. Yes we beat Bayern o. But of we get attack like theirs

Diaz and Olise fearless and decisive and masters of take ons and switch moves, e go sweet.

What's even funny is how it is obvious our attack is still on hibernating mode. They're not on their best and most lethal level even as we've gone this far. The way that back line is solid and chemistry and all, that kind telepathic understanding between the forwards go sweet. And one of the ways to achieve this is partnership style. Two or three players that understands each other and how their brains work when attacking, just like dem Pires, Henry, Bergkamp Ljungberg that year. Most times these guys barely look up before a pass cos they already know henry or Pires will be just there.

I can't wait to see our attack shadow the defense in reputation next season, especially now that Pep is not here with his crazy run ins momentum.

It's annoying to see Bruno have way better workrate than Eze at this age.

I don't think DM is a priority signing for us. RB, LW and CF should really be our top priorities. Then if we have some players leaving we can start talking about DM and maybe AM/CM Sha

Yeah, every member. That "who won us" and "in his first season" being together in a sentence sounds like he single hand led us to the trophy.

More goals from him next season, amin.

Of course, I don't mean he singlehandedly won us the EPL. I meant we won the EPL in his first season with us.

Can we get Victor Osimhen ?
I think we got the wrong Viktor even though he’s the best PK taker in the world
We need a solid Timber replacement
We need creative midfielders because Eze & Odegard have issues, not consistent or injuries
Id keep Trossard because he picked form late
Id keep Martinelli too except they’re getting a good left winger

Evra is mocking Arsenal for not winning the big ears trophy
Arteta needs to win that trophy next year
It has to be semi final, semi final, final & then champions pls
We had the easiest route to the finals this year because we did a good job in the group phase, we should do same next season

personally, I don't think we need Osimhen, he's the same profile as Gyokeres, we need a jesus type of striker, someone who's good with the ball at his feet but more clinical. Timber needs a good deputy if white is going, which i think might be happening. Between Martinelli and Trossard I think the later should leave while we keep Nelli.

Odegaard still has it in him but needs to be fully fit to play at his best, this season him and Saka were never fully fit at anytime and the world is not going to help unless the get knocked out earlier.

If kepa leaves, then we will be out for another no.2 keeper, but for now the main priority should be a decent RB, LW. Rogers that we are going for is just another Eze type of player who doesn't really enjoy defending or covering tracks. I really don't care the profile they sign, just get someone for the obvious positions that are lacking. And replace the ones that will be leaving.

A Gabriel Jesus type of striker would be Julian Alvarez
Osimhen is a serious aerial threat & ultra high presser, we won’t be in so much low block pressure if we had Osimhen
Rafa Leao wants to leave Milan, if he’s not above 27 we should get him

bro na the same talk wey carry us go sign Gyokeres, you don forget?. Plus Osimhen is already injury prone not to talk of when he plays in epl and Arsenal setup that requires workload. His attitude is also another thing. At the moment kai is our best striker which is why we need another profile better than what he can bring. Alvarez is a better option but the amount involve might make us overlook him.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 7:56pm On Jun 04
Come to think of it, every thing they said it's our problem with winning the epl was the same thing we didn't do to win it.

They said we can't win without a striker that scores 20+ goals, and our striker scored the same range of goals as our previous forwards(13 - 15)
They said we can't win the epl if we don't win at Anfield and Etihad, we lost at the two venue and still won the league
They said set piece can't win us the league, we started and sealed the win with set piece.
They said we can't win with by relaying on defence, we started and won the league with 1:0 scoreline.
They said we can't win the league without improving our total points because city would be more deadly, and we won with less points than our previous title challenging seasons and still had 7 points more than city.

I just know with the belief and mentality in this team now, we will be up there with the biggest clubs again for a long time.

Lfc getting iraola just changes things for me, I feel he's leading competitor we have currently, but also makes things interesting because any manager can beat themselves now.
I hope we break Anfield and Etihad jinx but Arteta still remains the head if we get our attacking transfer right, I trust Berta for that.

.

If Arsenal buys another attacking midfielder, than means we will have three of them. We though Eze would be a replacement or probably a better upgrade from Odegaard but that is not the case. Eze has had his moment. He is attacking minded, he knows how to shoot from range and give dangerous passes but his game off the ball is not impressive. Arsenal needs a ball carrier. Some one who can run with the ball from the midfield and create chances. Look at someone like Bruno Fernandez.
I don't know where Merino will fit in. He is one of Arsenal's best clutch players but he is not a top 9 and an attacking midfielder

Morgan Rodgers is Declan 2.0 in attack
He can play CM, AM, Wing(both sides)
Crazy strong ball runner have ever seen, the other is Jacob Ramsey and somewhat MLS

I think Rogers is the right fit of player for us. The fact that he is comfortable playing from RW and LW is enough for me.

AM is not a priority for now except we want to dispose Eze which is very much unlikely . I believe Arteta will have Eze improve on his work rate and tracking his man when off the ball. Once that is sorted, we shouldn't have much headache in that department.

The key areas we need urgent fixing is LW, RB, CF(With Jesus likely leaving ) and CM.
