I think Rogers is the right fit of player for us. The fact that he is comfortable playing from RW and LW is enough for me.
That guy is all round
The first time I watched him in villa on his debut I was so wowed

Me too. The way he dey always hit the ball with shot dey always intrigue me. Most of our wingers don't the ball as poerful as he does, na only Trossard dey hit shot like that and it is occasionally sef.

With the way intelligent and young managers are coming to EPL, we need to weaken the smaller clubs

That is very very necessary considering we have the funds to throw around and we are now a club that is attractive for any young player that intends to win something.

But my fear now is that with the EPL we won, some of our players that should naturally be on their way out of the club may decide not to move on away from the club. See a player like Gabriel Jesus now, he fit just sit down for bench to run down his contract knowing he is on a good salary and will definitely get medal if we win any trophy because he will sha play at some minutes in the league to earn a medal.

And if those players don't leave, it will be difficult stocking our team with more and more new players.

Ko jor, everton wants him but they want us to reduce for them from the 20m
I will say we should considering they helped us too, we can cut 3m but can they pay his salary

It looks as if we want to start selling players for their true value now, dem no wan dey sell our players for cheap. But true true we can reduce money for Everton, dem try for us. If they want Ben White too, they should come and carry him at discount price.

AM is not a priority for now except we want to dispose Eze which is very much unlikely . I believe Arteta will have Eze improve on his work rate and tracking his man when off the ball. Once that is sorted, we shouldn't have much headache in that department.

The key areas we need urgent fixing is LW, RB, CF(With Jesus likely leaving ) and CM.
CM and AM are used interchangeably. Definitely we need a LW which is our priority. I wish we can get another striker cos Gyokeres isn't that clinical.

The club cannot just be signing players anyhow now. You can only hope Gyokeres will perform better than he did this year and improve as the new season begins. If Gabriel Jesus leaves, we will sign another striker but I doubt the striker will come and bench Gyokeres except Gyokeres drops form completely.

personally, I don't think we need Osimhen, he's the same profile as Gyokeres, we need a jesus type of striker, someone who's good with the ball at his feet but more clinical. Timber needs a good deputy if white is going, which i think might be happening. Between Martinelli and Trossard I think the later should leave while we keep Nelli.

Odegaard still has it in him but needs to be fully fit to play at his best, this season him and Saka were never fully fit at anytime and the world is not going to help unless the get knocked out earlier.

If kepa leaves, then we will be out for another no.2 keeper, but for now the main priority should be a decent RB, LW. Rogers that we are going for is just another Eze type of player who doesn't really enjoy defending or covering tracks. I really don't care the profile they sign, just get someone for the obvious positions that are lacking. And replace the ones that will be leaving.
This statement proved to me that you have seen him play many times and not falling for English media hype... He is very aggressive when running with the ball especially in transition with loads of space but very lazy without the ball and on tackles...

He fit Villa style of transitional play well unless we are moving to that style going forward....

This one they gave Trossard a new contract, I just hope it won't stop us from getting a very skillful and explosive LW sha.
Have they given him another contract apart from the one year extension he was given last year? His contract runs out next year, I expect him to complete it and leave for free next season. Martinelli is attracting big spenders across Europe and Saudi, I expect the board to sell him this window and allow Trossard run out his contract

i doubt Arteta would let Martinelli go. His relentless and ability to cover tracks is so important for the team for him to go ahead of Trossard. Martinelli would just be another case of Luiz dias of Liverpool to bayern, our system limits him so much even though i am not taking the fact that he fuccks up sometimes away. I think Raphael Leao and kvaratshkelia are just another version of Martinelli, if we can bring out that attacking hunger in our players play fast attacking games, both Martinelli, madueke and Gyokeres will be hot next season.

I will rather give trossard another 1 year than letting Martinelli stay, this guy is getting useless by the day.
With trossard we still have fragments of hope he will do something, we should cash out on Martinelli before it's too late, look at the UCL final just a little pass to mumuduke might have won it for us but he will always complicate simple things
Same thing he did one season we bottled the league when a simple pass would have put saka through against lfc

Considering Martinelli's age and market value, he will be the one to go. Make Arsenal too be making money from player sales. Besides, Trossard is more clinical than him.

BlueRayDick:
I think going into the transfer market we need to Prioritize getting a CM who can equally play AM in the absence of Odegaard and Eze. It is safe to say Odegaard is not going anywhere and would always have Eze competing with him for that AM role come next season. Signing Tonali won't be a bad move at all.

Also we urgently need a real RB who would deputize Timber on that right hand side of defense. We suffered greatly this season for not having a worthy backup for Timber. I want to believe Berta and his scouts must have identify a decent RB who would compete with Timber on the right. I really don't want to see Mosquera playing RB next season; he should just focus on developing into a cover CB for Saliba.
I don't know much about the academy boys and their development, but it won't be bad if a RB from the academy is also promoted to join the first team. At least let such player be given chance to play cup matches like FA and Carabao cup

We should really get the LW sorted during this Transfer window. I believe Trossard has really done well for this team and it is highly time he takes a bow while the ovatio Not n is loudest. We should let Trossard go and sign a very good LW to replace him. If we see suitors willing to drop good money, we should also cash-in on Martinelli. For all his speed and occasional solo goals, I think Arsenal deserve better than him as a winger if we really want to be creative on that side of the pitch.

Finally, I believe I speak the mind of most fans when I say Arsenal needs to find a way to dispose of Gabriel Jesus and sign another striker who would put Gyokores on his toes. I don't see why Jesus should be allowed to be on Arsenal's payroll next season, I just don't see it. If we can get a young striker eager to make a name for himself in this current Arsenal set up, we should go for him. It doesn't need to be a big money signing like Gyokeres.
You've spoken very well and reasonably too! I align with you, kudos!

So we did not concede any penalty this season and the only one we conceded was the brain fart moment by Mosquera?

We conceded one earlier in the Champions league . I've forgotten the team we played, but I remember Ben White had his arm stretched out away from his body when a shot was played and the ref awarded a PK against us in that particular Champions league group stage match.

That was the only PK we conceded prior to that PSG match.

We really had a solid defense this season; not just good defenders but defenders who avoided serious fouls at all cost within the 18 yard area

Na mouth all of them get. Once they take the job of coaching, they understand managing a team is not as easy as it seems. Especially ex-players who at one or time or the other see their ex-coaches as not doing enough, not having the winners mentality, etc.....Na when dem start coaching themselves dem dey learn big lesson.

That's when they understand those coaches were far better than they will ever be.

Calafiori conceded a penalty on the final groups stage match against Kairat Almaty, Ben White handball against Atletico in the semi finals
