The success of those type of rescues is very small maybe 10% especially with children over 40 of them.
How did you come up with such % ,any fact, link to back it up?

I am actually skeptical of Tinubu admin official releases too. E.g when FG say they didn't pay ransom and they released hostages without a single army casualty. That sounds like super story
Lol, a typical example of "A thief believes everyone steals". Of course, it's your party or people, and you know how deceitful and dubious they can be. The only time elites negotiate with terrorists is when they weigh the risk and find it very high. Even then, they will still execute a retaliation ASAP. You can't kidnap Chinese, Russian, American, or Israeli citizens(especially children),and hide them in the bush within the country while making demands. Trust me, citizens will just wake up and see the terrorists corpses.

It's also shameful that you're comparing a failed country with failed or should I say compromised security and intelligence to elite nations just because you wanna prove a point. Why are you like this, man?

2nd and 3rd Image: Older publications of the same story in Nov 2025.
9ja Media should do better with all this recycling of older stories (including images and videos) as new ones.
So, it turns out that MorataFC was right all along, every piece of news should be verified before people rush to conclusions. I have always known that fake news spreads rapidly in Nigeria. In fact, if you look at my moniker, it says, "Fake News Every Day," and I have been using it for over ten years.

As for Morata, if you do not have evidence to support your claims, it is better to keep quiet. It was Potvalor who saved your ass by providing the proof.

I have seen videos upon videos of people intercepting and detaining Northerners all because of insecurity

The last one I saw was a bus carrying passengers, and they stopped them, and held them against their will, saying they were "Fulanis"

One woman was even screaming that "They are from Yobe". Does she think the world starts and end from Lagos to Ogun?

I think people need to be careful with the harassment.

Unfortunately, more and more of that harassment will happen except something drastic happens and people gain confidence of the security agents once more.

The distrust has been growing for years, particularly the years under Buhari when people complain about Fulanis destroy their farmlands with cows, they report to police and have the Fulanis arrested but the herdsmen are later released with the Herdsmen later going back to harm the farmers. There was even a time I watched a video of a man in one of the villages in the southwest who had his two arms chopped off because he challenged Herdsmen grazing on his farm.

Over the years the Fulanis have been fingered in most of the banditary/kidnap-for-ransom/terrorism happening in different parts of the country. Now that everybody is on edge , it is very likely that some innocent Fulanis may become victims of mob attacks and lynching. Even if security agents try to rescue them, the mob may resist thinking it is just the way They've always released the criminal elements when the people hand them over to security agents.

That's why I say except there is a major shift and people gain back the trust of the security agents; things may get worse. It doesn't help matters that some of those Fulanis too lurk around the bush even when they are visibly not herding animals. People will naturally feel they are informants to the terrorists.

I saw one video where one man was complaining that all the passengers in the GIGM he booked to calabar all came down because he was Fulani. They refunded his money cause of the passengers and he had already come from guo. E pain me say I no save am.

But stopping a bus filled with Northerners, detaining them, videoing them, searching them and you still didn't find any weapon sounds like an overstretch.

The mob most times won't apply caution

The next thing is they are killing someone innocent

And believe you me, issues like this can move swiftly into another crisis.

The worst thing that can happen to a person is to find himself surrounded by Mob bent on spilling one's blood.

After these Oyo kidnap incident Bwala was on AriseTV last week and he was saying something like the people have a right to defend themselves with lethal weapons

“The constitution has guarantee to every citizen of Nigeria the right to self defense, you have the right to defend yourself.

“When your right, my right, and that of my neighbour is put together, it becomes collective right to defend ourselves and Nigerians have the right to defend themselves.

“If you come to my house to try to kill me, any lethal weapon I use to defend myself is guaranteed by the constitution.

“Number two as a people we have vigilante and in Borno State we have paramilitary organizations that provide intelligence to law enforcement.

“Nigerians don’t have the right to bear certain arms unless those arms are permitted but the collective people can come together to apply to the government for the right to coordinate themselves.”
Those are the words of Bwala.

You know that it is just a thin line to cross from defending urself and actually committing a crime of unaliving a suspect the mob may have profiled.

So, I should keep quiet and allow the media to push whatever narrative suits their agenda while people spread misinformation without verification? Dey play.

Yesterday, I searched through several reputable news platforms, when they are asking for the quotes and none of them used the date from last year, they all carried the June 2nd, this year version. Yet many people were quick to accept and circulate it as if it had just happened.

What I find interesting is that if Pastor Adeboye were to make a statement that fits a certain narrative, it would be everywhere within hours. But when he speaks about issues affecting the peace, unity, and security of Nigeria, many of those same platforms suddenly go silent. Abi, how do you explain the fact that he made the statement over 8 months ago, yet 100% of users of this thread were unaware of it? No single person is aware of it.

This is exactly why people should verify facts before rushing to conclusions. A claim does not become true simply because it is repeated by many people.

BTW, your name says it all.😂

RCCG has active social media pages, and they post regularly on these pages. I'm sure they also run ads as well to increase the reach of certain aspects of the church comms they want out there.

If they can publicize certain types of messages, I don't see why they can't take control of the narrative that concerns safety of Christians and Nigerians at large, while making their positions known unequivocally.

I can't count how many times I've seen videos of Oyedepo criticizing the government over the years, na the same news platforms wey no sabi carry Adeboye own dey carry Oyedepo, Suleman, Paul Enenche, Oritsejafor and the others own...have you asked yourself why Adeboye's case is different?

From what it seems like, Adeboye doesn't consider being vocal about the security situation in the country a priority....maybe because he thinks it's pointless and would rather focus on other things, or he doesn't want to ruffle feathers as people have said.

Just being logical, when you are rescuing adults, they can also help you, when rescuing children they cannot help you and are more of a liability. The terrorists know this and thats why they took the most vulnerable

Expecting a rescue where No soldier will die, All hostages will be rescued and all terrorist killed is like a bad movie script almost like children movie

When Israel did the Entebbe rescue, there were hostages casualties, some of the soldiers including Netanyahu elder brother got killed

Operation Eagle claw by Americans to rescue hostages in Iran led to the death of 8 US military men
