Antoeni:If the Yoruba leaders can calm their own brain and come up with policies that generate investment and also ensure businesses to thrive in progress then your Igbo leaders lack vision and wisdom to come up with any reasonable policy Any of you that is tired of progress of Yoruba land you can pack all your nonsense investment that is not upto 20% of Chinese companies investment and go away You Igbo have this grandiose delusion, if we are talking about investment Igbos total investment in Lagos is not up to 15% what is your problem of over overvalued ideas Why |

I wish you can say that if you could accommodate a Yoruba king in your Igbo community just like you have din in other Yoruba land…. Or if you can sell your piece of land to the plenty Yoruba in your eastern regions….. you guys came to Lagos cause it’s accommodating and show of success of you willing to work just like we Nigerians do abroad…. The yorubas allowed you people to thrive willingly, cause that’s who we are… if e easy carry what you are giving Lagos back to your villages and see if it would work !! |

kerry57:In 2025, Lagos State attracted $2.56 billion in foreign capital (dropping to second place nationally behind the FCT), heavily skewed toward portfolio investments. In contrast, its robust domestic economy generated an estimated ₦1.87 trillion ($~2.2B) in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), highlighting the massive scale of local business over foreign capital inflows Above is the analysis of what Lagos IGR in 2025 Igbos pls if total local is 2.2 billion dollars revenue how much did Lagos state government generated from dangote, GLO, and some other non Igbo business calculate how much IGR Igbos contributed and have sense |

koladata:That was what some of them thought before until the Advent of the internet that showed that Yoruba control almost 60% of the economy of Nigeria. Yorubas control more important sectors of the economy in Nigeria even as Dangote flexes muscle. Yorubas have the longest surviving businesses in Nigeria. |

jfking2005:I don't know why you people keep saying this same thing over and over again. This same line of selecting places that you lots claimed was where the capital of Nigeria was in Lagos. Why are you guys keep doing this, it's unfair to select some places in Lagos as only once a capital of Nigeria. Is like selecting Gwagwalada, Garki Wuse Maitama Asokoro and the community where Aso Rock is located as the only capital of Nigeria, neglecting the whole of Abuja as the capital. You guys are highly educated in Nigeria, you should all stop doing this for some reasons which we know nothing about. This is unfair bro honestly! This Colonial Masters, places they lived in Nigeria during their time here were a little bit planned and arranged cities till today. Lagos Nigeria was their HOME before they left everyone knows that. |

brunobaba:Lagos Nigeria is a Yoruba land, it is in the map like that and very close to the Atlantic Ocean i mean it borders Atlantic Ocean. Where our colonial masters came into Nigeria from. I didn't call Lagos Nigeria a no man's land! I said it belongs to all TRIBES in Nigeria. All of us.... there's reasons for that. |

lightwind:Lagos State is a no man's land but unfortunately it is found in Yoruba soil.... It is a no man's land not because of the land area but in terms of Developmental strategies, all tribes in Nigeria joined hands to from Lagos State.... But by land property, it is unfortunate to be in Yoruba soil , Unfortunate because if that part of Nigeria where to be with South South or South East , Lagos State won't be this backwards ... |

lightwind:Yes. Yoruba made Lagos wat it is today. It has been developed long before ur great grand fathers ever thought of migrating there. It has been a major trading centre between the Yorubas and Portuguese as far back as in 13th century. So you igbos have nothing on lagos. It made you!! |

Well, u will have to go the markets and check how many of their shops that are there and how many other Igbo businesses that do not run in a market setting , u will get a clue of that. Do u know how much businesses pay for signage alone, and other taxes they pay? Well, these figures may look small to you. Aggregate them daily, weekly, monthly and yearly maybe u will understand. I think we need to realize that small scale businesses is what build big economies around the world. America and Europe is where they are today because of small businesses and allowing different people to come in with their own ideas. U mentioned dangote, u think dangote and hlo will be where they are today without the input of small businesses doing Business with them? I took this time to type all of this cos I feel u are open to learning and appear reasonable. So, please, let's not just look at figures from data, let's concentrate more on the root propeller of those figures. No foreign company will bring in FDI without having enough market on ground to do business with and the igbos add up significantly to that market they need to come into Lagos with the accompanying FDI Hussein035: |

ArcSEMPECJ:Your head get oil bro! Exactly!!! How i wished Lagos was part of south east or south south that is close to Atlantic Ocean like that, borders Atlantic Ocean... Just from there you get to other parts of the world through maritime Ocean way. He for don developed more than this, my Igbo brothers could of used the opportunities to expand trade etc to other SE States. |
