The governor is the number security officer for his state. That's why he's paid a lot of security vote each month which he doesn't need to explain how it is spent according to the law.

Lot of things need to be amended in Nigeria. It's an open secret that most governors are just chopping their state monthly security votes anyhow while blaming the presidency.

Even house members have constituency development packages. This doesn’t take away the responsibility of developing their constituencies from the governor. You can’t twist the narrative no matter how much you try.

If governors were in charge of security, Tinubu will not do what he did to Fubara in Rivers.

Every resident should be encouraged to register through a centralized database linked to verified residential addresses. This system will assist law enforcement agencies in identifying criminal elements, tracking suspicious activities, and improving emergency response capabilities while respecting constitutional rights and privacy protections.

2. Registration and Regulation of Herders

All herders operating within Each State should be required to register with the State Government and the relevant Local Government Authorities before engaging in grazing or livestock activities. Registration should include biometric identification, location of operation, livestock records, and compliance with state regulations. This measure will promote accountability, reduce farmer-herder conflicts, and help security agencies identify unauthorized or suspicious activities.

3. Monitoring and Prevention of Violent Extremism

The government should strengthen collaboration between security agencies, community leaders, and religious organizations to identify and prevent violent extremism. Authorities should monitor and investigate individuals or organizations suspected of supporting terrorism, radicalization, or violent activities, regardless of religious affiliation. Any person found to be promoting or financing terrorism should face prosecution in accordance with Nigerian law.

4. Promote Agricultural Self-Sufficiency

Each Southwest State should invest heavily in agriculture to enhance food security and create employment opportunities. Such a system should operate within legal frameworks and emphasize the protection of citizens' rights.

6. Eliminate Illegal Settlements in Deep Forest Areas

The government should conduct a comprehensive survey of forest reserves and remote settlements. Unauthorized settlements established in deep forests, particularly those linked to criminal activities, should be dismantled through lawful procedures. Forest reserves should be regularly monitored and patrolled to prevent their use as safe havens for kidnappers, bandits, terrorists, and other criminal groups.

7. Swift Prosecution of Serious Crimes

State Governors are firmly in charge of the security of their state. If he fails in upholding this responsibility, and his state becomes ungovernable, the President can declare state of emergency. It is the position of our constitution.

We have been raising alarm about this stvpid and docile behavior of some Yorubas but they think we don't know what we are saying.

Truth is.. PBAT is the only Southerner with high chances of winning in 2027. All others are just deceiving themselves including Seyi Makinde.

Do you want him to enter the bush by himself or what force do you expect him to use ? Keep in mind that he doesn't control the military nor the police. So if you were in Makinde's shoes what would you do ?

And yes, Makinde is very much qualified to be a president. But unfortunately, because most Nigerians don't vote with sense, they will prefer Tinubu (who doesn't care about their papa) to Makinde (someone who constantly demonstrates empathy and care for people's well-being).


It's a democracy. So everyone is free to contest (even your papa ). Besides, Tinubu is already very old, so who knows what can happen before election
