Tell them Illbliss if they can hear even though bitter hatred they have against great Igbos will not let them accept this bitter truth but who cares.

They thought hated great Igbos will make Igbos loose their self worth but they don't know their hating is making great Igbos more stronger.

They hate Igbos and Igbos hate them,so the hatred is mutual.
you have not even seen hatred.. it is 2027 election you will see hatred raw and live

[quote author=Vicotex post=139626878]Please, I urge you to close your mouth if all you have to offer is negativity. You seem to be spreading falsehoods among yourselves by claiming that the Igbo people do not truly support one another. In reality, however, it is the Igbo community that significantly contributes to the nation’s progress, helping to elevate each other from mere sums of money, such as 20 pounds, to producing millionaires every single year. This is a remarkable achievement that your tribe, which often harbors resentment and hatred, has not been able to accomplish, and it is unlikely that it will happen until the end of time. Instead of spreading lies, perhaps it would be more beneficial to acknowledge the success and unity found within the Igbo community.

[Please, take your success and unity to your region. Is that too much to ask? Tell your people to STOP trooping to Yorubaland. Stay in your region. Stop coveting other people's regions. STOP spreading your crimes of drug trafficking, human trafficking, fake products, and baby factories everywhere.]

Why should Yoruba leave Onitsha when they contributed to the building of Onitsha? They were there when Enugu was founded, the same with PH. Some Ilesa people that I know can never leave PH because they made it there. They became multi millionaires in dollars there. If there are five hundred dollar millionaires in the SE, you will find Hausa and Yoruba among them in good numbers.

So it is not only Igbos that can't leave Lagos o. I know many Yorubas that can not leave the old Eastern region
No body is chasing you away from onitsha yorubas dominate sowing in onitsha

The founder of the Onitsha business school is Yoruba
One of the exco of car dealers association in Anambra is Yoruba
Most successful fashion designers in Anambra are Yoruba
A large number of transporters are Yoruba
Many artisans are Yoruba. They dominate
All these people including tailors that you mention are building houses and training their kids. They have cars and etc and can become dollar millionaires if they know how to manage money and are visionaries

Somebody there on ground will be able to give you more information. Don't think people are joking anywhere they are or that there is an occupation that don't make people wealthy

We also wish they can look homeward and give back to the economy of their region too. And make the region a place every Nigerians will cherish (covet and call a nomansland) and want to call home for her available opportunities.

All region in Nigeria must equally experience economic growth. Not until Yorubaland is overpopulated.

You (literally) can't give what you don't have or create what you can't replicate in your own home for others...
Why you too like half truths? Na wa for you o.

The industries in Lagos are responsible for the development of Lagos because they pay huge taxes and create employment, but your 2*2 shop deface the the face of Lagos and you only employ nwa boy who are tribemen, with zero taxes on like the pay e system where company workers pay taxes to govt,so stop lying to yourself and move your business back to SE and let’s see if Lagos will paralyse like you wish😂😂😂

What does it tell ushuh?.....it tells us that the booming spirit and energy drive is not coming from the indigenes of those living near Lagos State so the development is not reaching other near States talk more of Osun, Ekiti, even Ondo ,...

Assuming Yorubas are the pointers of the energy drive in Lagos State, every SW state is supposed to have benefited immensely from Lagos State...

Kinda sounds like you're defending the deplorable state of Lagos, no?

The condition of whatever state I'm from isn't a valid excuse for the condition Lagos is in.

Lagos state's yearly budget is many many times more than that of most other states in Nigeria, even rivaling that of some nations, and Lagos is also the largest economic hub in West Africa.

With all that resource and opportunity, why is Lagos now such a mess? How can one defend that?

Anyways, to answer your question, I'm from Kwara....Hope you're satisfied.
How is your Otoge gómìnà of ìjọba mẹkunnu in Kwara state better than the four progreThief governors who have ruined Lagos State in 27 years of forever increasing tax burden on people that grew budget 100 times?

Nevertheless, only 5% of schools are owned by government, with Lagosians carrying kwashiorkor potbelly pregnancies from drinking water in shitty boreholes, because Tinubu’s master plan does not include employing well paid workers to make government services and utilities available for everyone.

Same of same useless rogues in Oshiomhole’s Assembly of Past Criminals, APC!!!

Babasessy:
The Awolowo rebirth in the Southwest has inspired gongs, songs and rhetoric of sorts. But they have missed one point.

It occurred to me in Abeokuta last week amidst the big crowds and euphoria of the swearing-in of Senator Ibikunle Amosun as governor. In all the states from Lagos to Edo, where Awo has witnessed ideological resurgence, hardly a single family member has played a role.

So we have an Awo family without an Awo. That is an irony. But history overwhelms us with this sort of twist. Obafemi Awolowo toiled for his reputation. His roots were lowly, he toiled to school both home and abroad, launched into careers in law, business, journalism and eventually politics. He carved a niche for himself, and became the first methodical and charismatic leftist in our history.  Other leftists abounded but they did not inspire comparable drama and following.

He faced tribulations, went to jail, failed in elections, won a few, but he imprinted his ideas and legacy in the country, and no single mortal has beaten him in the history of this country. His greatest achievement was in the area of ideas, and that was how he fashioned a family. Most families are born of biology but his issued from ideology. That family suffered with him.

In a spoof of Jesus Christ, these were the men who followed him in his teachings, and endured with him in his temptations. So he formed a kingdom for them in the Southwest, in the old Western Region, presiding over his projects, his legacies and people.

In all of these, the family he had was not his flesh and blood. In another spoof of Christ, who were his family anyway? Those who were with him must be counted as his family. So, I combed in the ambience of Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), and I found none. I went to Ogun, I frisked the crowd under Amosun’s bower, hardly any. Around Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in Osun, I could not lay a finger. With Governor Kayode Fayemi in Ekiti, where are the forbears of Awo? Yet, I can hear the chants of Awo. Hardly in any of the inaugural speeches or any of their other public intervention would you miss the philtre and filter of Awo from these gentlemen. To parody Novelist Joseph Conrad, they are the sparks from Awo’s sacred fire, the messengers of the might within the man.

Already all of them are pursuing the legacy ideas of Awo: free education, free health services, infrastructural development, urban renewal and economic engineering.

Lagos has posted itself as the John the Baptist. The others are putting up valiant efforts, and the world of course is watching to see how well they will perform. It will call for great work, resourcefulness and cooperation. They are the real Awoists, and Awo was a man of rigour and vigour.

The Awo son that many expected to take after the father was Olusegun, who unfortunately died in a car crash. We shall never know if he could have pulled it off.  But the others have not shown much of the paterfamilias’ brio and depth. In the past decade, under this republic, they have blended with the wrong crowd. Even H.I.D, hobnobbed with Alao-Akala, who brought illiteracy to governance; with Oyinlola who turned the grace of office into a hell-hole of despots; with Daniel who could not arrest his quick fall into megalomania.

I wrote once that this woman whom Awo once described as the jewel of inestimable value has lost value to his cause. If he came back to life, he would have committed the extraordinary act of divorce after death. Even his newspaper, The Tribune, has so stumbled and fallen that it swims in Awo’s vomit.

Lagos State is a no man's land but unfortunately it is found in Yoruba soil....

It is a no man's land not because of the land area but in terms of Developmental strategies, all tribes in Nigeria joined hands to from Lagos State....

But by land property, it is unfortunate to be in Yoruba soil , Unfortunate because if that part of Nigeria where to be with South South or South East , Lagos State won't be this backwards ...
lightwind:
Your head get oil bro!

Exactly!!!

How i wished Lagos was part of south east or south south that is close to Atlantic Ocean like that, borders Atlantic Ocean... Just from there you get to other parts of the world through maritime Ocean way.

He for don developed more than this, my Igbo brothers could of used the opportunities to expand trade etc to other SE States.
eastern Nigeria have 4 seaports which is more than anywhere in Nigeria..

There's a seaport in Rivers state called "port harcourt".
There are also:
Calabar port
Onne port
Warri port..

so that access to the Atlantic ocean excuse is ignorance..

lagos has always been the economic capital of Yoruba people even before the demonic bri:tish people came to Nigeria.

England did not build primary schools, secondary schools, universities, health centers, hospitals, stadiums, technical institutes, vocation centers, maternity hospitals, pediatric hospitals, sports centers, housing estates, roads e.t.c. all over Nigeria between 1830 and 1960 and after..

they took the billions they made from Nigeria and other places they colonized and used it to build England they did not use it to build Nigeria and the other places they colonized. So foreigners and non-Yorubas did not add or bring anything to lagos.

lagos is the commercial center of the Yorubas not of Nigeria and it is as a result of Yorubas concentrating their wealth there.

It has nothing to do with colonial influence, government influence, Foreigners.

During the colonial government only a part of lagos island was the capital and only white people and Nigerian colonial government workers were allowed there.

The rest if lagos was filled with dirt roads, forests, and underdevelopment. No University in lagos, no teaching hospitals, no housing estates built by the British, no pipe borne water.

Yorubas are reaping the benefits of Yoruba wealth concentration.

Yorubas alone made lagos what it is today..

because ogun state politicians and other Yoruba states politicians are sell-outs and do not have the political will to build the infrastructure of ogun state and other SW states.....

Lagos state also have sell-out politicians and are pressured by private companies to build roads and sometimes those private companies do the road themselves.

Lagos state is also the smallest state in Nigeria which makes it easier to see the development of Lagos state per KM than other SW states that are filled with bushes and forests due to their KM in size.

You don't know anything about the HISTORY of Lagos and the reason behind almost all TRIBES in Nigeria can be found in Lagos.

If you don't know history of something, you keep quiet or you do a research about it, you don't come online and be writing things you know nothing about.
what history are you talking about? Lagos is just like New York City in America, very diverse and almost all races from all corners of the world will be found in NYC But that doesn't mean NYC belongs to everybody in the world. It is solely for the United States. Lagos might accomodate all ethnic groups in Nigeria but is still YORUBALAND simple not everybody land. Is KANO,JOS,PORTHARCOURT,AKWA IBOM,ENUGU everybody land?

You mean as per donations? Is it not where most of the Igbos made wealth? He talks like they brought the riches from SE.
They worked hard before getting the wealth no one gifted them anything so nothing to be ashamed of there, lagos has also benefited massively from oil and gas resources from the niger delta which was used to build mega infrastructures in lagos so u people shouldn't make it look as if only yoruba resources made lagos what it is today.
