Joe Igbokwe Escapes Mob Attack At Ladipo Market, Lagos by Ofunaofu(op): 4:32pm On Jun 06
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC on Friday escaped a mob attack in the popular Ladipo Market, Lagos State.

Igbokwe narrated the incident in a video he posted on his official Facebook page on Saturday.

The APC Chieftain said he was in the market to get some vehicle spare parts to fix his car when some youths identified him and angrily mobilised to attack him.

Igbokwe said, when the mobs were moving close to his vehicle, he decided to take cover in his friend’s shop before the leadership of the market came to his rescue.

He said, “Yesterday, I went to Ladipo Market to get some spare parts for my vehicle. When I went looking for the parts, some people started calling my name, pointing fingers at me. I ignored them and went in search of what I wanted to get.

“I got the parts and I went to my vehicle to fix it, before I knew it, the Ladipo boys started gathering, they were shouting, “this is the Igbokwe, this is the Igbokwe, so you can come this market”?

“I initially ignored them but they started coming and coming, so I moved away to my friend’s shop. My friend gathered the leadership of the market,, and then when I came out, people gathered and started saying all manner of thinga s but I didn’t say anything, I just drove away.

“I came to Facebook this morning and saw a post that Joe Igbokwe was beaten. I was not beaten. This is me. There are things you cannot do here, you can go to the Southeast and be doing all the rubbish you have been doing there but not in Lagos.

“I pray that it doesn’t happen again. I know what to do”.

Ladipo Market boys tried to provoke me yesterday but I held my peace . May it not happen again or they will collect, they will collect and they will collect it big. This is Lagos and not South East.

Wetin den they learn for politics?? Ok those that have learnt politics what has it done for them, we are all still suffering and the average masses still get worst every new election cycle.. So pray tell what is the benefit of learning politics other than to suffer people, throw wealth in their face and scheme to make them suffer more.. I will prefer the politics of igbo that is emotional and factual cos at least we as a citizen will all get emotional when the leaders we elect fail us..

I guess because of your 'sophisticated' knowledge of politics,if Joe Igbokwe contests for Lagos governor, you all will support him and not remind him that he is an omo Igbo and tag him 'chinedu' Igbokwe.
Las las we go all get sense for this country!

Prof cum political encyclopedia....where are you in life now? Abi your knowledge base never reach to replace your state governor or Tinubu?

Politicians being stoned in the north means they haven't learnt politics abi? Tinubu being protested against in SW means they're yet to learn abi?

Atimes, it's always better to keep shut your mouth so that people won't know...

They wanted to display their mob attitude because he is not supporting their fake messiah.

If anything had happened to him in that market they should all kiss that place goodbye.

The violent support of politicians is not progressive. Support yours and let others support theirs peacefully. Obi is such a terrible thing to happen to this country.

You wey don learn show achievements. If this is politics to learn from, then my friend, you have a long way to go in life. Politics to people like you, Yatimo, Helinues, Madridguy, Richtaiwo, Ngeneukwuenu etc are that of impoverishing the masses while you live big. That's not politics; that's sheer wickedness. I pray your wicked kind of politics be for you and your families

This is wrong.

Nobody should be assaulted for thier political beliefs.
Re: Joe Igbokwe Escapes Mob Attack At Ladipo Market, Lagos by writetopoka: 6:59pm On Jun 06
Who confirmed the authenticity of Igbokwe's claims.
From his tone it seems he is just seeking attention and clout.

I strongly doubt if this happened. It goes a long way to show how how this APC syncophant can go to make wicked claims.

Everything can never be politics, even against your people. Because you want to get pity from Lagos state and the presidency.

How can anyone believe Igbokwe went by himself to get spare parts, with all his engagements
