https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbVV9pU5eA4 "Igbos, stop talking about Biafra and Nnamdi Kanu when we are in security crisis.... " - Yoruba man foams....When I see videos like the one highlighted by Lisa, I wonder, how long will many yoruba people, south westerners keep up the hate, sabotage and witchhunt of igbos who have done no wrong to them, whose only crime was to demand for an exit from a unworkable toxic union.... How long will many south westerners continue to aide fulani in denying igbos their demand to end Nigeria while looking away as fulani destroys and conquer their ancestral land.... It is pathetic that even as Nnamdi Kanu has been jailed, condemed to serve life imprisonment by a yoruba judge, there are still many who can't let go of the hate they nurse against him just because of tribalism.... No one deserves to be in a toxic destructive divisive union that "One Nigeria" represents.... |

I think your problem might be that you keep looking out for people hate while ignoring those who don't, which makes me wonder if you are not the hater.

@budaatum the Nairalander that likes to apply voting as a solution to all national issues so you show up on my thread once again..... ![]() You may be saying the truth about yourself liking the igbos as a yoruba person (I don't know your gender) but you can't ignore or pretend over the truth that many of your people the yorubas do not like the igbos, they are actively working against them as I am making this post. If you are still in doubt, check threads users create here on Nairaland and see for yourself, the animosity and deep tribal anger users portray against igbo people like Peter Obi and Nnamdi Kanu daily.... The same treacherous envious attitude being portrayed by Yorubas against the igbos goes beyond cyberspace to the real world, you will find it in communities, in neighborhoods, among neighbors, among colleagues in the office and even among church members.... The creation of "One Nigeria", forcing igbos and yorubas into one country was an injustice done to both tribes, igbos remain the only tribe that has overtime, genuinely made effort and continue to make effort to undo this injustice till this day. Nigeria will continue to be a source of pain and hateful tribalism until a referendum is done to dissolve or totally decentralize it.... I know you like Nigeria and don't want separation, the earlier you accept the bitter truth that Nigeria is nothing but a colonial project meant to subjugate you the better..... Unity is not by force, a forced unity is nothing but an unbearable unsustainable bondage that brings pain and destruction to all parties.... It has to end for the people to be free.... budaatum: |

The man didn't say it for engagement.... You can see from the video that he was serious. This sentiment against Nnamdi Kanu is not isolated but shared by many other yorubas including some users of this platform.... PDJT: |

The federal government has just appealed that the life sentence should be changed to death sentence for Nnamdi Kanu. You should worry about that. cross-appeal filed by the federal government allegedly acknowledged that the trial court lacked jurisdiction in imposing a life sentence instead of a death penalty, saying this has significantly altered the legal arguments in the case.https://leadership.ng/cross-appeal-raises-questions-over-nnamdi-kanus-conviction-ipob/

truthera:Odd that I did not notice that it is your thread before I responded. Please know that voting is not the solution to your own specific problem. Education, the sort that teaches the use of the mind and senses, might solve some of your problem though. Religion is a national problem in Nigeria. It promotes belief instead of sense use, and no amount of voting would directly solve that, though enough people promoting the reform of the Nigerian education system might. Now, to your supposed "truth" that "many of your people the yorubas do not like the igbos". First, "many" does not mean 'most'. And those "many" are ignorant, just as you are for hating others. On the way to my Orolu Kingdom after you leave Osogbo, the Igbos are renting roadside buildings and are converting them into white good shops, and now my own Yoruba people don't have to go to Ibadan or Lagos to buy fridge that they can not return if it don't work. Some "many" people in the area are indeed unhappy that the Igbos are "taking over" as they call it, and are expressing hatred, but those are the lazy phuks who smoke colo all day and can't afford anything white. They hate me their Yoruba family too because I don't feed lazy phuks! Please know that I have not in anyway forced those industrious Igbo people to unite in my Kingdom and open their shops. They choose to unite in my Kingdom, and my Kingdom welcomes them. I'll tell you about ChukwuTomato one day, though I suspect I might have already. |

I had earlier refrained from replying but will do so to set the record straight even though you choose to resort to insults in your reply.... It is your opinion and you are entitled to it but not all opinions are truths when subjected to scrutiny.... I marked you out because of your antecedent... When I created a thread sometime last year or earlier this year about the need for a referendum on Nigeria, it was you that kept making the case that Nigeria's problems will be solved through voting. There is no harm intended just calling you out on what you stand for.... On what you said regarding igbos doing business in your Yoruba villages and towns, should their trading activities be a contentious issue even if igbos were not Nigerians? Many Yoruba people do trade in other parts of the country, many also go as far as UK to do business, they are making money there and the host communities do not attack or jail them for that.... In fact there are many of them that have refused to return to Nigeria, how is that different from what igbos are doing in your village or any other part of south west region.....? Does it mean that if Biafra were to exist, they won't still enjoy such privilege if they meet the legal requirements? Religion as a concept is not the problem but religious intolerance is part of the problem but not the root problem of Nigeria. The reason why we may never agree on this platform or even in the real world is because of how you view Nigeria, your continued false assumptions over a unity that does not exist, your continued acceptance of the notion that Nigeria is an indivisible indigenous African creation that must be sustained against all odds, you some how think that Nigeria is part of your heritage and if broken, may lead to your extinction. It is glaring that this way of thinking was exactly what your British colonial masters wanted you to believe..... Until you let go of colonial psychological conditioning and accept the irrefutable truth that Nigeria is purely a colonial concept that offers nothing but injustice, you and many others being deceived into the "One Nigeria" mantra by selfish politicians will continue to wallow in self-delusion with nothing to show for it while they steal away your future.... Without total decentralization or outright dissolution, Nigeria's situation will continue to get worse .... budaatum: |

truthera:In that thread I pointed out to you that a referendum is people going out to vote on an issue, and that to get a referendum on any issue, people would have gone out to vote for people who campaigned to offer a vote on a referendum in the first place. But it seems that you don't want to vote for people offering a referendum and just want to impose destructive anarchy on Nigeria because, in your own view, "Nigeria is purely a colonial concept that offers nothing but injustice", and anyone who disagrees with you must have been "deceived into the "One Nigeria" mantra by selfish politicians". What you fail to realise is that those supposed "selfish politicians", even if your "nothing but injustice" were true which it isn't, are voted for and elected by us Nigerians. And if we want "unselfish politicians", we the Nigerian voters just need to recognise them and elect them or even become unselfish ourselves and run for office and hopefully convince enough unselfish Nigerians to vote for you. But you speak like you have not bothered learning our post-colonial history, and seem to think you will get your unselfish politicians in some other way, like some taking over the reigns of power and imposing themselves on us, as if you were born long after that was how Nigeria used to get its leader who turned out to be uberselfish! Fortunately not many Nigerians support the selfish anarchical tirades you keep posting on Nairaland. It might indeed be because our brains are washed and not dirty like somes.

Are you still in self-denial....? You continue to hug your fantasy while begging for the chains around your neck not to be removed.... I told you back then and I will repeat here, voting for any politician in an election in Nigeria to occupy federal public office positions such as the president and expecting national progress when the foundation of the country is faulty will continue to be a futile exercise that does nothing but to reinforce the vicious cycle many Nigerians are facing today..... Nigeria's continued existence in it's current form will only worsen the situation of the people without referendum on it's unity. As long as the cosmetic unity is upheld over a forced union, hateful tribalism, nepotism, dangerous ethnic politics and religious intolerance will continue to increase. There is no way anyone can solve these problems by keeping "One Nigeria" going. Even if a "good" politician with good intentions becomes president, he or she will suffer as a result of these problems overtime. As I told you before, the reason why Nigerians like the igbos who may want a referendum to allow them leave the contraption cannot get it through government is because all politicians currently occupying public offices are the number one beneficiaries of "One Nigeria", the divisive status quo was well crafted overtime by them for their selfish interests so they will resist any change. The only way to bring about a referendum that will allow indigenous people to leave is through a revolution. I am still waiting to see how you and your likes will remove a power hungry deeply corrupt presidential incumbent like Tinubu from office next year with your Peter Obi candidacy. Hopefully, you will learn a thing or two about the contraption over the outcome of 2027 election. Until then I leave you with your fantasy...... budaatum: |
