PSTKYLIFELIGHT:Like this... It is better to keep this discussion anchored in Scripture rather than labels or assumptions about people. It sad to see a religious organisation will first cook lies from the scriptures through assumptions to support their own cooked doctrines then tag other Christian denomination who don't accept their lies as false Christians only for some years to pass by and that same religious organisation revert to the teachings of those they call false Christians. |

Emusan:That one that like corner corner ways well well. What is the truth using publications of those they love to call Christemdom will no longer be the truth when it expose their cooked doctrines not supported by the scriptures. |

PSTKYLIFELIGHT:So where does Paul says that Christ is called "firstborn of creation" in colossians 1:16, 17 because he is the CREATOR, OWNER, HEIR AND SUSTAINER OF CREATION. please point out where those titles are used for Jesus in the those verses. |

@ PSTKYLIFELIGHT You may wish to know why no member of any church has come up to speak up for their church except Jehovah's Witnesses. Well it may interest you to know that this is the fulfillment of what Jesus said in the Bible book of Luke 23:30 Then they will start saying to the mountains, ‘Fall over us!’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us over!’ Luke 23:30 compare to Revelation 6:16-17 The mountains, hills or rocks are false religions under the control of demons but claiming they are worshipers of the most high God. This is what Hosea said will happen to such religions in the last days: The high places of Beth-aʹven, the sin of Israel, will be annihilated. Thorns and thistles will grow on their altars. People will say to the mountains, ‘Cover us!’ And to the hills, ‘Fall over us!’ Hosea 10:8 Thorns and thistles has grown on their altars just as Jesus foretold about false religions claiming Christians in our day {Matthew 7:17-16} so they are ashamed to mention the name of their churches. WHY? Because at the sight or mention of the group name JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES they are terrified and intimidated as the true God in our midst makes us shine brightly {Daniel 12:3 compare to Matthew 5:14-16} to the extent that they have to hide behind ANONYMOUS RELIGIONS but you will see them coming to argue what the scriptures say yet what is the name of the church where they learned these things? They will become silent! Isaiah 54:17😂 |
| Re: Who Is God Almighty Apart From His Word? by PSTKYLIFELIGHT(op): 10:27pm On Jun 06 |
MaxInDHouse:With respect, that conclusion goes far beyond what those passages actually say. The fact that someone does not mention a church denomination during a discussion does not prove fear, intimidation, or fulfillment of Luke 23:30. That is an assumption, not evidence. Luke 23:30 and Revelation 6:16 describe people seeking to hide from divine judgment. Neither passage identifies "mountains" and "hills" as all non Jehovah's Witness religions. That interpretation must first be demonstrated from the text itself. Likewise, Hosea 10:8 was originally spoken against the idolatry of Israel. Before applying it to modern religious groups, one must establish that Scripture itself makes that connection. More importantly, truth is not determined by who speaks up the most loudly or by which group appears most confident. Truth is determined by whether an interpretation accurately reflects the Word of GOD ALMIGHTIEST. The Bereans were commended because they examined the Scriptures daily to see whether things were so. They did not accept a claim merely because it came from a confident speaker or a recognized group. Therefore, the strongest argument is not, "My organization is mentioned in prophecy," but rather, "Does my interpretation faithfully explain the relevant texts in their context?" In the end, every believer should be willing to test doctrines by Scripture itself. The authority belongs to the Word of GOD ALMIGHTIEST, not to the confidence, size, or visibility of any religious organization. |

Truthseeker10:That is a fair question. Strictly speaking, Paul does not use the exact words "Creator," "Owner," "Heir," and "Sustainer" in Colossians 1:16–17. Those are theological descriptions derived from what Paul says. "For by Him all things were created" → Creator role. "All things were created through Him and for Him" → the phrase "for Him" points to His supremacy, purpose, and inheritance over creation, which is why many theologians speak of Him as its heir and rightful Lord. "He is before all things" → preeminence over creation. "In Him all things hold together" → Sustainer role. So let us be precise: I did not claim Paul used those exact titles in the text. I claimed those titles summarize the functions Paul attributes to Christ in the text. However, notice that this clarification does not actually advance your argument. The question remains the same: Why does Paul explain Christ's "firstborn of creation" status by immediately describing Him as the one through whom all things were created, for whom all things were created, and in whom all things hold together? Whatever "firstborn" means in verse 15, verses 16 and 17 clearly connect it to Christ's unique relationship to creation, not merely to His being part of creation.. But you have to answer this question first.....Why does Paul explain Christ's "firstborn of creation" status by immediately describing Him as the one through whom all things were created, for whom all things were created, and in whom all things hold together? |
| Re: Who Is God Almighty Apart From His Word? by Truthseeker10: 10:50pm On Jun 06 |
PSTKYLIFELIGHT:Ok let's take the title "creator" that you claimed made Paul to call Jesus "firstborn of creation". So when Paul says "for by Him all things were created" in colossians 1:16, do the Greek words that Paul used compel the "creator" title to Jesus? |
| Re: Who Is God Almighty Apart From His Word? by MaxInDHouse(m): 12:38am On Jun 07 |
PSTKYLIFELIGHT:Stop deceiving yourself!🙂 This is what the Bible says about what you want to argue about: When Jesus finished these sayings, the effect was that the crowds were astounded at his way of teaching, for he was teaching them as a person having authority, and not as their scribes. Matthew 7:28-29 Jesus is the Way Truth and Life {John 14:6} so those trained by him will speak so boldly and confidently before false religionists {Act 4:13} that they know God better {Jeremiah 9:24} that is why Jesus called us "light of the world" {Matthew 5:14-16} and no false religionist can stand to refute what we have as proof of true worshipers {Isaiah 54:17} just as Jesus rendered all false religionists in the Jewish community in the first century SILENT! Luke 20:39-40 My guy me i no dey waste time so if you are ready for the truth there is no beating about the bush come out straight and mention the name of your church where true Christianity is being practiced but i know that none of those coming to argue anonymously on your thread can mention any group name besides JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES!🙂 |

Truthseeker10:Answer my question first |
| Re: Who Is God Almighty Apart From His Word? by PSTKYLIFELIGHT(op): 1:41am On Jun 07 |
MaxInDHouse:You keep repeating "Jehovah's Witnesses" as though mentioning an organization proves a doctrine. Truth is not established by the name of a religious group, but by whether its teachings agree with Scripture. The first century Christians did not go around saying, "Our organization proves we are right." They reasoned from the Scriptures. Even the Bereans were commended because they examined the Scriptures daily to see whether what they were being taught was true (Acts 17:11). You quoted verses about Jesus teaching with authority, believers being the light of the world, and God defending His servants. None of those texts identify Jehovah's Witnesses as the exclusive true religion. That conclusion is being imported into the passages, not drawn from them. The real question is not, "What is the name of your church?" The real question is, "What does Scripture teach?" If a doctrine is true, it remains true regardless of who teaches it. If a doctrine is false, attaching it to a religious organization does not make it true. So instead of shifting the discussion to denominational labels, let us stay with the biblical evidence. For example, if we are discussing Colossians 1:15, Revelation 3:14, or John 1:1, let us examine the text itself and allow Scripture to speak. After all, Jesus did not say, "You will know the truth by the name of an organization." HE said, "Your word is truth" (John 17:17). |

PSTKYLIFELIGHT:I never made any claim on Paul's words on colossians 1:15 or verse 16 so I'm not obligated to answer your question. Now answer the question below. Ok let's take the title "creator" that you claimed made Paul to call Jesus "firstborn of creation". So when Paul says "for by Him all things were created" in colossians 1:16, do the Greek words that Paul used compel the "creator" title to Jesus? |
| Re: Who Is God Almighty Apart From His Word? by MaxInDHouse(m): 8:12am On Jun 07 |
PSTKYLIFELIGHT:Good! So mention the name of your own church with your teachings then we will check out the scriptures to see if your church is working in line with what you people point to in the Bible as evidence of your faith in Christ. In the first century what the Christians used as evidence of their authenticity is not the name of Jesus but how they are fulfilling what the scriptures say. If each religion is to argue using scriptures no disciple of Jesus in the first century can stand the Pharisees but then only the Christians are fulfilling what the scriptures said about the Christ and those who are working with him! Act 2:17 compare to Joel 2:28 What Jesus said about his true disciples in our time is that they will have love, joy and peace permeating their gathering! John 13:34-35; 14:26-27; Matthew 5:11-12 Only Jehovah's Witnesses fulfilled this prophecy today but if you disagree oya mention the name of your own church and tell me how you people are fulfilling what Jesus said about the FRUIT of faith among his disciples in the end time! Matthew 7:16-18🙂 |

PSTKYLIFELIGHT:You noticed how this person mentioned the name of an organization! achorladey:But now they are all silent because i've insisted on telling them to mention the name of their own church instead of arguing as anonymous religionists claiming Christians!😂 |
| Re: Who Is God Almighty Apart From His Word? by PSTKYLIFELIGHT(op): 11:21am On Jun 07 |
MaxInDHouse:The issue is not whether someone can name a church. The issue is whether your conclusion follows from the Scriptures. In the first century, true Christians were identified by their faith in CHRIST, their obedience to GOD, their love for one another, and their adherence to apostolic teaching. They were not identified by claiming exclusive fulfillment of every prophecy while dismissing all other Christians. You cite John 13:34, 35 as proof that only Jehovah's Witnesses are true disciples. Yet Jesus did not say, "You will know them by the name of their organization." He said they would be recognized by their love. The question then becomes: Is love unique to one religious group, or is it a fruit that can be found among sincere followers of CHRIST in many places? You also cite Matthew 7:16 to 18. In that passage, Jesus said people would be known by their fruits. The fruits include conduct, righteousness, obedience to GOD, and faithfulness to CHRIST. Therefore, the examination must be based on all of Scripture, not on a single claim of organizational exclusivity. Regarding your challenge to name a church, truth is not determined by denominational labels. When Paul addressed divisions among believers, he asked: "Is the Christ divided?" (1 Corinthians 1:12, 13). The focus of the apostles was on allegiance to CHRIST, not on proving that one modern denomination exclusively fulfills every prophecy. So the real question is not, "What church do you belong to?" The real question is, "Does what is being taught agree with the whole counsel of Scripture concerning GOD, CHRIST, salvation, and Christian conduct?" Every claim, including the claims of Jehovah's Witnesses, should be tested by the Scriptures, just as the Bereans carefully examined what they were taught (Acts 17:11). |

So please answer: Ok let's take the title "creator" that you claimed made Paul to call Jesus "firstborn of creation". So when Paul says "for by Him all things were created" in colossians 1:16, do the Greek words that Paul used compel the "creator" title to Jesus? |

PSTKYLIFELIGHT:Just know that he is not even interested in the NAME of your church but just wants you to be associated with a name like Adeboye, Oyedepo, Kumuyi, Oyakelome, TB Joshua, Suleman, Eneche, Ibiyemo e.t.c because under Pentecostal there are many church names you can never know to ever exist and the same with Anglican. So, when he asked you to be asking people's church name. Just know he wants you to mention that you're a follower of one big church name in Nigeria as it's a great disgrace to Watchtower achievement in Nigeria. Jehovah Witness are over 100 years in Nigeria with about 400k members yet most churches that spring up years after them have more members than them, this is the beginning of the agony. |
| Re: Who Is God Almighty Apart From His Word? by MaxInDHouse(m): 2:29pm On Jun 07 |
PSTKYLIFELIGHT:Now you are showing your true color because only Jehovah's Witnesses have that quality among them! John 13:34-35 Perhaps you don't know how love works but i will show you! The work of love is to help people from different nations throughout the earth see themselves as ONE {John 17:22} so that all other people will know and say it! John 13:34-35 Have you watched how people do see Jehovah's Witnesses as if we are indivisible?🙂 PSTKYLIFELIGHT:Obviously you don't know what FRUIT means in that verse so calm down and read. [b]There is a specific fruit which Christianity is expected to produce each religion like a has its own and that fruit is what inhabitants of Antioch saw before they called Jesus' disciples "CHRISTIANS" it has to do with how Jesus and his disciples were going from house to house and door to door to make people who listen to them their members so just as people always view anyone listening to Jesus and his disciples back then as part of them the same is happening today once anyone is studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses and such a person refused to succumb to threats or ridicule people use to treat such ones as they would treat Jehovah's Witnesses! PSTKYLIFELIGHT:Paul wrote a letter to an ORGANIZED PEOPLE not different religions claiming Christians today. That is why he could say they should have the same line of thought! 1Corinthans 1:10 compare to John 17:22🙂 PSTKYLIFELIGHT:GOD and CHRIST has just one purpose in the gathering of true believers which is ONENESS {John 17:22} so different religions with contradicting teachings and conflicting doctrines are not members of the same faith! Romans 16:17; 2John 10-11 PSTKYLIFELIGHT:Good! So what is the name of your own church for everyone to know the claim of your church and test it by the scriptures. Jehovah's Witnesses have achieved their claim as found written in the scriptures! 🙂 |

Emusan:What is the name of your own church? Jesus gathered QUALITY not QUANTITY people who don't allow materialism {Matthew 6:19-21} overwhelm their love for what he commanded them {Matthew 28:19-20} when Jehovah's Witnesses tell you their number it's about those preaching and teaching from house to house and door to door just as Jesus commanded his disciples to go out and do not just counting numbers when only the pastor is the preacher. So tell us the name of your own church where all members are known as preachers and teachers of God's word in your neighborhood!🙂

| Re: Who Is God Almighty Apart From His Word? by PSTKYLIFELIGHT(op): 3:23pm On Jun 07 |
Emusan:Yes, I said that Christ is Creator, Owner, Heir, and Sustainer of creation. The question, however, is whether Paul's words in Colossians 1:16 support that conclusion. Paul says that all things were created in Him, through Him, and for Him. If all things were created through Him and for Him, then He is not merely part of the created order being discussed. He stands in a unique relationship to it. Now, if you disagree that such language supports the title "Creator," explain why "all things were created through Him" should not be understood as a creative role. Merely demanding the noun "Creator" does not resolve the issue. Scripture often describes a person's identity and function without using a specific title. So the real question is not whether Paul used the English word "Creator," but whether Paul's description of Christ's relationship to creation warrants that conclusion. |
| Re: Who Is God Almighty Apart From His Word? by PSTKYLIFELIGHT(op): 3:29pm On Jun 07 |
Emusan:Whether a church has 400,000 members, 4 million members, or 40 million members does not determine whether its teachings are true. If numbers are the standard, then Christianity itself would have been false in the first century because Jesus and His disciples were vastly outnumbered by the religious establishments of their day. The real issue is not the size of an organization, the fame of its leaders, or its popularity in Nigeria. The real issue is whether its teachings and practices align with the scriptures. As for asking people to identify their church, that is a legitimate question only if the discussion concerns a church's doctrines and practices. However, attaching truth or falsehood to the size, influence, or public recognition of a denomination is a different matter entirely. A teaching does not become true because millions believe it, and it does not become false because it is held by a minority. The proper test is scriptural evidence, not membership statistics. So rather than discussing who has the bigger congregation or the more famous leaders, let us examine the actual doctrines and the scriptures used to support them. |
| Re: Who Is God Almighty Apart From His Word? by MaxInDHouse(m): 3:31pm On Jun 07 |
Emusan:When you people speak against JWs is it the group name Jehovah's Witnesses that you are attacking or those taking the lead in the organization?🙂 Ọmọ in the first century Jewish religious leaders attacking Christians are doing so because they hate the one teaching them what they they believe which is Jesus. So yes the name of your church should reveal the person whose teachings you subscribe to and how such a person's teachings is producing fine qualities among his followers! Matthew 7:15-20🙂 |
