Rhapsody of Realities by Pastor Chris. Sun Jun 07 2026 PRAYER—A CATALYST FOR DIVINE INTERVENTION ...Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words (Daniel 10:12). Prayer is a catalyst or spur for divine intervention. When you pray in alignment with God’s Word, you set spiritual forces in motion and connect earthly situations with heavenly responses. Through prayer, God’s purposes are activated and His will is established or caused to manifest in the earth. A remarkable example of this truth is recorded in Daniel chapter 10. Daniel had been praying and fasting concerning the destiny of Israel. For twenty-one days he continued in prayer, unaware that from the very first day his words had already been heard in heaven. In response to his prayer, an angel was dispatched with the answer. However, when the angel eventually appeared to Daniel, he explained that although the answer had been released from heaven, the very first day Daniel prayed, he had encountered resistance for twenty-one days from the powers of darkness led by the “prince of Persia.” This reveals an important spiritual reality: even when heaven has responded, there can be opposition in the spirit realm. But Daniel’s persistence in prayer ensured that the divine purpose prevailed. The angel further explained that Michael, described as the prince assigned to Israel, came to assist in overcoming that resistance. This shows that angelic beings operate with divine assignments connected to nations and peoples, and their ministry often unfolds in response to God’s purposes and the prayers of His people. At the same time, the Scriptures reveal that angels don’t override human responsibility. Israel had previously fallen into captivity because they had broken God’s covenant. Even though Michael was assigned to them, he couldn’t prevent the consequences of their disobedience. But when the time of God’s promise arrived and Daniel aligned himself with the Word through prayer, divine intervention was activated. His prayers became the channel through which God’s purpose for Israel began to unfold. This shows the power of prayer that is rooted in the Word. Therefore, prayer isn’t a routine but a participation in divine purpose: your opportunity to enforce God’s will in the earth. When you have this knowledge and understanding about prayer, you don’t wait for change; you bring it into manifestation. This makes you an active agent through whom divine purposes are established and fulfilled. Prayer / Confession Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of prayer and the assurance of answers. As I pray in alignment with your Word, your purposes are fulfilled in my life and through me, and your will prevails in the earth, in the nations, and in my situations, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. God gives belivers the gift of prayer and reading the word of God ... infact these are part of the foundations of our faith in God ...and that faith teaches us that God is always ready to listen to our prayers if only we are willing to pray...in prayer we humble ourselves before God ,thereby affirming that we depend on him for guidance, instruction and support in all our daily lives here on earth ...is beautiful because God himself want humanity to love and serve him forever whether here on earth or in eternity with him in his abode... |

If after baba kumuyi reach 85 and Nigeria still remains like this then isn't it obvious prayer will never work at a national scale Not even at a community scale |

Lol. The error or prayer is believing that it's a be all, end all. That's how Christians fit square pegs in round holes. I've read the post: it's all geared to make you come to church so that you can learn how to pray and script powerful prayer points, while dedicating your time, brain and money in form of offering and tithe" ![]() In all, apply wisdom. Know when to pray and when not to pray. You'll pray for a safe trip when you didn't check the tyre or water level of your vehicle prior |

What's the difference between praying and talking to God? |
| Re: Prayer - A Catalyst For Divine Intervention by UncleAyo: 9:16am On Jun 07 |
Prayers don't get answered. They are not as effective as they want you to believe. |

Prayer is useless. Otem said it and we have realised it over the years. Adspiramen 15:44-46 44. And as for many of the lineage of Murmoh(Africans) who read it, they shall be free from the bondage of reliance on others. 45. And many of them shall turn to their brains for answers to their prayers instead of asking any of the sons of God. 46. And their land shall begin to see great development like the lands of the other sons of God who fear no death. |

Prayer, the get-away excuse for lazy people. Ask the average Nigerian what he thinks over the nation's problem. What you will hear can't be more than; "We are praying over it", "We will pray and God will answer " Lies! They will keep praying while refusing to do what God has given them power to do for themselves. Laziness at its peak. Prayers won't solve anything you refuse to solve yourselves. |

That many on this forum doesn't believe in the efficacy of prayer doesn't and can never change the fact that prayer works. I'm a living testimony. Praise God |

To prove if prayer works. Pray for something to happen tomorrow and it should happen. And don't tell me imaginary God intentionally delay pray for blablabla reason. |
| Re: Prayer - A Catalyst For Divine Intervention by erad(m): 9:43am On Jun 07 |
femi4:That's the point I was hoping to make. The term 'prayer' has made speaking to God look like something special. That term needs to be discarded and more emphasis should be placed on communicating with God. Prayer makes it sound like it's a Christian-only thing and there are special procedures to go through before you can communicate with your maker. |

Even if you pray from now till tomorrow a divorce that will happen will happen! Job was a righteous man! Yet he lost everything except his wife and life! Though he got everything back but the lost years can't be regained! |

I had a discussion with someone yesterday. We believe in prayers so much in this country and that is why we are not progressing. How will our incompetent president say that we should pray so that Kidnappers and bandits should change from their evil ways. A man who is in charge of one of the best armed forces in Africa with Super Turcano jet, Armored tanks, more than 500K active armed men behind refiles. And the only option is prayers ?If we keep the mentality of believing solely on prayers without work that means we will all die in the country. In my few years on earth, I have seen people who don't go to church or pray progress more than those who pray and fast daily. Prayer should be the last option to any problem or challenges not the first May God help us all |

Prayer is purely nonsense Religion is purely madness Anyone that believe that prayer does anything need mental examination. He or she is suppose to be born as a sheep |

Reverseng:those who truly pray to God are not devoid of physical human activity, look if even a fool humbles themselves and cry out to God and God answers He will give them wisdom and they will know what to do while God handles the rest. So while men may forget God doesn't forget. It's the spirit of God that helps a man remember even to change oil that may have forgotten. So bro pray always |
| Re: Prayer - A Catalyst For Divine Intervention by gohf: 10:11am On Jun 07 |
iramure:prayer does nothing, but communicate to God who can do all things. It's not the prayer that works but God who works Every cry of the righteous is heard by God, so even when some of them don't call upon His name, He sends them help, He redeems and saves |
| Re: Prayer - A Catalyst For Divine Intervention by gohf: 10:16am On Jun 07 |
DickenClarq:people who believe in prayers should be asked is prayer God or the son of God that you should believe in or do prayers answer it's self like some magic wish. Prayer is a means to reach God we should believe in, by children of God and to them God is first not last, so listening to God and speaking to Him comes first. Now while your president may have been mocking "prayers" with his words, do not think that does whose prayers God hear do not do what is right before God. For the basics of answered prayers is righteous and righteousness isn't silent to evil, nor does it given allowance to wickedness. |

oluwaseyi0:/ That's why bandits and kidnappers move freely in Christian cities. They know that Nigerian pastors have already disarmed their gullible members with biblical quotes. It is free meal. To make heaven, find the God that Nigerians pray and worship; and be sure to stay away from him. If this is the best he can do with billions of prayers emanating from that country on a daily basis, I sure don't want to know him. / |
| Re: Prayer - A Catalyst For Divine Intervention by Porksupplyib: 8:09pm On Jun 09 |
leye4u:Of course miracles are real. However God does not expect you to sit down and expect miracles while refusing to do what needs to be done. If you are sick and you refuse to take medication you are simply gambling with your life. God is not compulsed to perform any miracle when he already created a way. |
