Ifeoluwadev:It depends on how you view it but note these 2 points! 1. In that year, government was borrowing to pay part of your expenses in forms of fuel and Forex. 2. There is nothing bad in government doing that but the bulk of the borrowing went into private pockets. 3. Are we better off with the subsidy removal. No because the money flow back to the states that ought to make life better but not. 4. I have similar situation but couldn't finish my house then until my situation changes to same as yours in terms of salary. I think not relying on one source of income is the best of which I am also trying to get. I went outside Nigeria, they may have security and electricity but the cost of living in Nigeria is closed to the lowest in Africa. If you disagree, covert 100 dollars into naira and any other currency in Africa, go to the market in the 2 countries and compare the purchasing powers. |

Inflation is too high in Nigeria. We must control birthrate like China did or else we will soon begin eating ourselves as meat and crime will spiral out of control. |

Ifeoluwadev:What is helping me that I don't feel much of the heat is due to the fact that company takes care of my transportation, feeding too. I work in community that I spend almost nothing for power. But once I leave work location to town. Na there spending they start. |

Akalia:Very perfect comment 👌 No one is denying that the cost of living is high but saying you can't live comfortably with N500k/month is deceitful. He's reckless and irresponsible in money management and would still complain if he had his pay trippled. |

IsraeliAIRFORCE:You are lying to yourself by saying this government is accumulating debt without nothing to show for it. If you truly want to know, the information is in the public space both in paper and on ground. This is the first time in the history of Nigeria where a government is spending a lot on capital project. I will not need to educate you on the long term benefits of capital projects on infrastructure. Also, the benefits are in the public space and if you choose to know, you will definitely know. |

When government implement policies that make people poorer, there will be desperation in the land which will later breed a high level of insecurity. Why is no one talking about bad policies in this spread of crime all over the country |

I earn less than you by far but I've just cut my cloth according to my size. It may sound foolish but it's the reality. If anyone think Aby government will come and things will just get better overnight, that person is just deceiving himself. During last government, I told people that insecurity has come to stay but it sound foolish then, but the reality is even after next government, nothing good insight with the level of corruption in the country. The way we Nigerian think that one President will just fix this country overnight is funny to me. |

Economically, Tinubus magical fingers destroyed things. Security wise is even worse. I still remember how I do travel to Kaduna back then with less than 10k fuel and I will still have extra in my car by the time I get to my destination. Now...... I must plan with 100k atimes with a little extra should incase. |

Muyiwaipere:Why do we compete for who suffer pass in Nigeria ? Is suffering a proud thing ? Omo, naija politicians have used suffering bless us. I wrote similar stuff where I said even 30m a year, U can't live the standard U lived 3 years ago. This administration messed up Nigeria. |

lamentor78:This mindset is exactly why Nigerian politicians don't care. So as long as people are worse off than him the inflation doesn't matter and he's unserious? It's like politicians saying other countries are worse than Nigeria so we should be grateful even if they embezzle money and undermine the democratic process. We need to stop glorifying suffering like it's a certificate of honour. Modern society and technology was envisioned by humans who wanted a better and easier way of life. |
