Baba go sleep. Releasing and negotiating with terrorists is what made their numbers increase. Jihadists territorists kidnappers from all over the sahel are entering Nigeria, because we pay ransom, government release and treat them with kids gloves even when caught, but in other nations they are killed, why won't the jihadists territorists kidnappers flood Nigerians when we have people openly calling for government to give the terrorists jihadists killers money even after kidnapping and raping our children and killing our people. Very weak and clueless president, a big negative to Nigeria.

During the emotional April 2021 Senate session, Senator Smart Adeyemi stood up to address the floor on Nigeria's worsening national security crisis, declaring that the country was bleeding and that lawmakers could no longer stay silent.

As he passionately urged the government to take drastic action against rampant kidnappings and killings, Senator Oluremi Tinubu interrupted him mid-speech, audibly questioning his party loyalty by asking if he was a wolf in sheep's clothing or a member of the opposition PDP. Adeyemi brushed off the interruption and continued his speech, but the intense, televised exchange between the two APC lawmakers instantly went viral, creating a lasting public association of conflict between Adeyemi and the Tinubu family.

Senator Smart Adeyemi: "Mr. President [of the Senate], insecurity is a serious problem today in Nigeria.... We cannot run away from the fact that, more than ever before in the history of our nation, this is the worst insecurity we have faced since after the Civil War. ...The President must rise to the occasion to resolve the security challenges... If we cannot save the country, then we should shut down the National Assembly and go home. Nigeria is bleeding."

"Are you in PDP? Are you a wolf in sheep’s clothing?"

Senator Smart Adeyemi (Responding immediately):
"Mr. President, I am an APC member. Let me tell you the truth, I am an APC member and I will remain an APC member. But I will tell the truth when it comes to the safety of our country. My people are being killed, and I cannot sit down here and look at what is happening and keep quiet. We cannot pretend that we are capable of handling the situation in our hands. The system has failed, and we must seek foreign assistance."

When the Awujale of Ijebu Òde said sometimes ago that Ijebu not Yoruba many people thought Kabiesi wasn't right, but Aláàfin Ọ̀yọ quickly went to visit him he even went with danofijo a popular Masquerade of Ọ̀yọ́ town to entertain Awujale, a smart moves by Kabiesi Aláàfin.

My late father (Olowoporoku)
always corrected me anytime I refered to myself a Yoruba (ṣe ara Ọ̀yọ́ ni ẹ ni) are you from Ọ̀yọ́ town? He will said to me.

Baba told me that Yoruba is the name the Gogobiri (Gambari of the North) called Oyo people, the name became popular during the era of Alaafin Abiodun Adegolu because of he's peaceful and long rein, Ọ̀yọ́ people were the Yorubas proper.

Ẹ̀gbá, Ìjẹ̀bú, Ifẹ̀, Rẹmo, ijesha, Èkìtì, Ondo, Ketu, Ùgbó and Ibini were not part of Yoruba.
We are all connected to Ile Ifẹ that's why we speak same Language but we are not all Yorubas until 1919/1920.

The adoption of Yoruba name was part of colonial legacy.

Between 1901- 1904 there was a war between Awujale of Ijebu Òde and Akarigbo of Isagamu the war was serious to an extent the British was unable to curtail it,
then the British always thought that Aláàfin was the head of all the Obas because it was the Aláàfin that invited them to Yorubaland during the kiriji war, they sent message to Aláàfin for intervention Aláàfin sent his Staff of office to the seat of war but the messengers were chaced away.
The British were loosing money and goods from interland because war between the two major people to the Port was damaging the British economic interest... goods can't reach Lagos Port via Isagamu/Ikorodu and Ijebu Òde /Ẹpẹ.
The Aláàfin adivised them meet the Ọọni of Ifẹ instead.

The British quickly rán to Ọọ̀ni to rescue the situation, then it was a taboo for Ọọni of Ifẹ̀ to leave the palace or Cross water , after a long beggins the iwerefa of Ifẹ̀ agreed to let the Ọọni set aside the tradition for peace to rein with heavy fine for the sacrifces by iwarefas the British agreed to be responsible, then for the first time in the history Ọọni of Ifẹ̀ left he's palace.

The day the Ọọni of Ifẹ̀ left his palace, Baba told me that all the Ọbas and Baalẹs in Yoruba land including Ọba of Benin and Aláàfin of Ọ̀yọ́ vavated their palace to honor the tradition, the Awujalẹ and Akarigbo order their army to seize fire when they heard the coming of Ọ̀ọni of Ifẹ̀. That was how powerful the trandition was.

After the war, the British started the process to weaknening the Yoruba people and traditional bonds, they finally called the meeting of the first class traditional rullers to adopt 'Yoruba' as a common name, but the Awujalẹ of Ijebu ode, Ọ̀ọni of Ifẹ̀ and Oba Benin rejected the name but the British had there way.

That is the smartest way to control us as a whole.
So if the Aláàfin Ọ̀yọ́ said he is the only King that have the power to confer title of Yoruba on anyone he might be right because the Yoruba name belongs to Ọ̀yọ́ people.
Its part of colonial hangover!

It is easier said than done.
We have not seen any proactive moves by the government both state and federal. We expect to be seeing hundreds of surveillance aircrafts over the forests to the next boundary countries, We expect hundreds of aircrafts with sophisticated cameras communicating real-time with your data center immediately kidnap takes place rather than throwing personnel blindly into the bush.

But...that is the point. He is overwhelmed and it cannot be hidden anymore.

A strong, functional state and its representatives don't use this sort of language. Other countries with strong states have suffered terror attacks before, and the language used by those strong states (in response to those attacks) was very, very different.

Most important of all, the actions of those strong states (in response to the attacks) left no one in any doubt about their resolve to finish the matter.

Tinubu and the rest of our so called leaders are really funny...the promises Tinubu used his mouth to make to Nigerians he personally failed and he is still failing talk more on the promises he made tru another person tru a write up he is not aware of. If Tinubu can't work on electricity, end insecurity and work on the economy let him forget it. Many Nigerians will still vote for him despites the killings and all others. Mr. President, if we are to be honest with ourselves, we have already made a very big mistake of rehabilitating are recruiting terrorists into our Amed Forces and even paying them as alleged by some quarters.. there is no nation in West Africa currently where such is being done except Nigeria.

In case you don't know the implications of what is happening, let's break it down and analyze it.

1 It's a morale killer for our gallant defenders, who see the neglect of their fallen brothers while the killers/terrorists get pampered, reintegrated and paid for no just reason

2. It sends a wrong signal to vulnerable youths especially in the Northern parts that terrorism pays better than patriotism. That alone is enough to destroy this country totally in next 5-10 years

3. The willingness of Nigerian youths across all regions to join the Military would be greatly impacted negatively, knowing Government protects those killing their people.

Mr. President, this is time to act decisively.. any Northern Governor engaging in acts of sabotage to the Nigerian State should be removed without delay.. the constitution grants you that power. It's not only during politics you can declare State of Emergency, it's in situations like this that such power is needed the most.

The Northerners are dragging us all down with this insecurity they are fueling and pampering.. Nigerians aren't happy and there is tension everywhere.

Let me round up by saying this.. even in the jungle, the animals obey the laws which says "only kill when you're hungry". Why have we reduced Nigerians to lesser species that foreigners from neighboring countries can enter their country to be killing and terrorizing as they like?
Please this doesn't make any sense.. it's better to act now before it's too late
