Those who said it was staged, I guess the demolition was staged too.

You guys do not like Nigeria coz If you do, tell me why you guy get so exited when bad things happen in the country then when securities put in their efforts, you are quick to call it a stage.

If wishes were horses, I for just round up all those who keep looking down on our security forces, sew uniform for them hand them guns and send them to the battlefield so they will confirm if it is staged.
Our leaders and their advisers are not smart!
Why demolish good buildings of offenders? Why not convert it to government health facilities, security outlets, etc,? We have shortages of government facilities in many areas in Nigeria.

When you have someone who makes it a point of duty to always lie to you, nobody should blame you for not believing even when the person is about to fall from a skyrise building.

I don't believe the government.

Oyo State Police Command Operation : Rescue of Kidnapped Woman and Her Twin Sons

Here is a detailed description of each of the suspects' participation in the kidnapping

Suspects Involved and Their Participation

• Kelechi
• Wale Abolalewa (alias “Oloro”)
• Dare Oyedele (alias “Solution”)
• Semiu Ishola
• Adeyemi Ayobami

Kelechi: Served as a lookout at the gang’s hideout. He engaged police operatives in a shootout upon their arrival and was neutralised along with another gang member.

• Unidentified gang member: Participated in holding the victims at the hideout and was neutralised during the confrontation.

Arrested Suspects:
• Wale Abolalewa, alias “Oloro”: A key member of the kidnapping syndicate already on the police watchlist. His arrest provided critical intelligence that unravelled the network. He participated in the planning and execution of the abduction.

• Dare Oyedele, alias “Solution”: Identified as a principal operational link in the gang. He was involved in the surveillance, planning, and execution of the kidnapping. Both “Oloro” and “Solution” are in custody and assisting investigators.

• Semiu Ishola (aged 39 years): Acted as an agent who facilitated and contracted the use of the criminal hideout at Lado community, Ayegun, Ibadan.

• Adeyemi Ayobami (aged 35 years): Similarly served as an agent responsible for securing and facilitating the hideout used to hold the victims.
Additional Context on the Gang’s Activities

The syndicate conducted structured surveillance on the victims’ family, including monitoring daily routines, photographing vehicles and school environments, and attempting to recruit an insider (one Segun, a household staff member) in May 2026. They initially targeted the family before executing the abduction using the unregistered Toyota Camry.

How the Police Carried Out the Rescue
1. Initial Response: Following the distress report on 3rd June 2026, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State, directed an immediate intelligence-driven manhunt involving the Force Intelligence Department–Intelligence Response Team (FID-IRT), Oyo State Police Command, and other tactical units.

2. Intelligence Gathering: Operatives used crime scene analysis, digital footprints, and surveillance to track the gang. The arrest of Wale Abolalewa (“Oloro”) served as a breakthrough, leading to further arrests and identification of the hideout at Lado community, Ayegun, Ibadan.

3. Tactical Operation: On 6th June 2026 at about 7:30 p.m., operatives stormed the hideout in a coordinated raid. When Kelechi opened fire, police responded decisively, neutralising two kidnappers while ensuring the victims’ safety.

4. Outcome: The victims were rescued unhurt, taken into protective custody, and later reunited with their families. Exhibits recovered included 3 pump-action rifles, 14 live cartridges, the abduction vehicle (unregistered ash-coloured Toyota Corolla), criminal charms, a battle axe, a hammer, suspected hard drugs, and face masks.
Investigations are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the syndicate, some believed to have sustained gunshot injuries.

The Oyo State Police Command has urged the public, especially healthcare providers, to report suspicious gunshot wounds
Which one is criminal charm? 😝😝😝😝
Re: Oyo Government Demolishes Building Used As Kidnappers’ Hideout (Photos) by Anishinaabe: 2:35pm On Jun 08
Why the rush to demolish the building? Who owns it? Was it rented?
Re: Oyo Government Demolishes Building Used As Kidnappers’ Hideout (Photos) by olarent: 2:41pm On Jun 08
The demolished is total wrong, did they confirmed the owner of the building, what of if the building was rented out genuinely to the kidnapper based on the job they told the owner for example they are mechanics and they do practice mechanics which everyone knows, they just decided to go dirty,is that landlord fault, where is justice their.
Mrexcell:
Total waste of money instead of demolishing the building the govt should have revoked the cfO and put the building into other uses.

Re: Oyo Government Demolishes Building Used As Kidnappers’ Hideout (Photos) by mistarsam(m): 2:43pm On Jun 08
Elaborate please
Okoyeeboz:
If you want to end kidnapping, banditry and Boko Haram in Nigeria, move soldiers back to the barracks and let Policemen handle them.

If you remember the Taraba kidnap kingpin cakes Wadume, he was arrested by Policemen, soldiers ambushed the Policemen, freed him and killed the Policemen.

The Policemen who arrested that kidnapper are from the same IRT unit who arrested these Ibadan kidnappers.

There is a reason why Zulum the Governor of Borno state doesn't use soldiers as part of his security. He uses only Policemen.

Very wasteful decision

Re: Oyo Government Demolishes Building Used As Kidnappers’ Hideout (Photos) by firearcher: 2:45pm On Jun 08
I don't understand the rush to demolish the building when those people have not been successful prosecuted. Any chance that there could be stuff hidden there that could be key evidence in the future?

At this junction, maybe every landlord and agent must be made to notify the government and document their tenants when they rent out their apartment.

There should also be an hotline people can safely call to report suspicious behaviour without being harassed or intimidated by the Police.
Re: Oyo Government Demolishes Building Used As Kidnappers’ Hideout (Photos) by olarent: 2:46pm On Jun 08
Thank you for the question,it we be wrong to bring another person building down,if the owner rented the building out to them based.on genuine business the owner may know them for, example of been real mechanics in the day and armed robbery at night, that is not the building owners faulty ooo because he already know him as mechanics that people know he do,justice in Nigeria has gone.
AllBlack:
Is it the kidnappers that own the house abi dem don go scatter another unfortunate landlord house?

Good contribution
rabzy:
It is a wrong initiative. If the house is owned by the kidnapper, you can go ahead and demolish but if it was rented out and the landlord is not involved, why demolish it. Thieves steal money and deposit in banks, have the banks licenses been withdrawn?. They need to prove that the landlord is culpable he can be made to suffer harm.

The more you hate to face realities, the more you repeat the mistakes.

This was the exact reason why I said this morning that citizens have to raise their awareness levels and get busy in knowing the people that reside amongst them, coupled with an advocacy for police within their localities.

It is entirely possible that the kidnappers are not the owners of the property. They may be squatters, relations, tenants, acquaintances of whatever kind.

People have had their properties used for things they are totally unaware off, drugs, fraud and other such offences that under the law today will lead to mandatory forfeiture (demolition included).

Let us band together and stop crime right there at the roots. It is not profiling or xenophobia. If it doesn't look right, poke your nose into it. Your wariness may just as well save an innocent soul.
This is the more reason every home owner need to be aware of activities of his/her tenants.

If the people living in your house are of questionable character you will know if you look properly undecided

So demolishing will solve the problem? I don't think so. What about the other kidnapped victims? When will they be rescued?
