Amigoos1:So why are people Islamophobic for pointing all these things out? You can see all the precautions you are asking people to take and you are not wrong but they must also wear the negative PR that comes with your violent lifestyle that others are also allowed to avoid or protect themselves from. |

raumdeuter:Exactly, you know the drill. There are more towns with mixture of religions in the southwest. The fact that there are other religions other than Islam that will always oppose the whole Sharia arrangements, it won't be as easy as it is in the north at all. For every Prof Ishaq Oloyede advocating Sharia , there is Prof Wande Abimbola and other renowned Professors practising Isese who would oppose it with intellect |

Later you can hunt them down I have mentioned it a lot, Israel releases hardened terrorists just to release their hostages |

Someone help me understand the logic in demolishing houses of criminals. Not sure this particular house belonged to the criminals or they rented it https://www.nairaland.com/8686821/oyo-government-demolishes-building-used |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 4:54pm On Jun 08 |
raumdeuter:I've never understood the logic behind it. I've always seen news of Governors demolishing houses of suspected criminals; I think Wike did something like that while he was governor, the Current Edo Governor demolished houses of Suspected Cultists, I think one or two governors in the east did something similar in the past.....I don't just get the whole idea sha. It's not like dmolishing the house will deter anybody from committing crime in the future. To me, it's just unnecessary waste of resources demolishing such properties. |

ouzo1: izzou:At this point Bandits will be sending their representatives to the Senate Even though I wrote the above as a joke, thinking about it, that was how Hezbollah became a political party and power broker in Lebanon If kidnappers and Bandits ask to be recognized as a political party as part of their negotiation pls who will stop them And I sure say they will win elections even Governorship sef. In 4 election cycles they might become the largest political party That was how Hamas and Hezbollah became entrenched in societies and legitimized |

BlueRayDick:Talking about Wande Abimbola, in 1992 he won senate seat and was elected to a position in tge senate, swearing in time he was offered Bible or Koran na so senior man pulled out a cows horn licked it and started reciting incantations The Northerners jumped back and screamed Awusubilahi. If looks could kill |

raumdeuter:Once they release those guys, forget it the government is not going to hunt them down. My fear is for those terrorists that get released not to cause bigger havoc later in the society having regained their freedom through this exchange of hostages. I think after the dust settles on this issue; our government across various levels need to have some serious discussion and take some hard decisions. 1. They need to fast track and give priorities to terrorism cases in our law court. Let suspected terrorists be tried ASAP and let those found guilty be convicted within the shortest possible time. 2. Let's have a law that prescribes death sentence for convicted terrorists/bandits/kidnappers whether they killed their hostage or not. Make the crime a capital offence that attracts capital punishment 3. Let it be illegal for any state governor to refuse to sign the death warrants of convicted bandits/kidnappers/terrorists. Over time a lot of governors have refused to sign death warrants of prisoners in their state. I think the last governor that signed a prisoner's death warrant was Adams Oshiomole while he was governor. Anybody who would not sign the death warrant of a prisoner should be impeached as governor. It should be a very solid ground for impeachment, and the house of assembly should not hesitate to declare a governor' seat vacant if he doesn't sign a convict's death warrant within a week or two. I believe it's because these guys stay in prison for years, that's why their comrades will be emboldened to kidnap people and be using them as bargaining chip for their release like these yeye terrorists are doing with these Oyo victims. |

Amigoos1:Nah no one is misunderstanding him. People are correctly pointing out the high level of intolerance on display where Muslims are the majority but he's simply downplaying it as culture and that people should respect it. However I observe that he has lived in that setting all his life and embraced it as normal, he doesn't understand what it means to live freely as a Nigerian. That your religion shouldn't affect or dictate how other people should live their lifes. |

BlueRayDick:This is a global problem. I've seen some Americans complaining about governors refusing to sign death warrants over there too , and I believe such action only serve to embolden killers. If you kill anybody you should also be killed, no two ways about it. Excessive liberalism is causing many criminals and killers to be left alone instead of being brutally executed on life TV to serve as deterrent to other bastards. |
