Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola recounts how his daughter's school comment that "my daddy sleeps every morning" motivated him to launch a new business, despite his savings earning 35% interest from Nigerian banks.

Capping too much, which savings is giving him 35% pa for Nigerian Banks.. Believe all this rich men at your own peril. If not for Obasanjo and that his minister of petroleum that year forgot his name.. That gave him diesel monopoly who will hear of zenon oil.. The only Otedola we will know by now will be Michael Otedola his Father, some people just talk like others are lazy or not brainy also. Grace, connection, luck, discipline sometimes compliment your hard, work, talent.

They can only say that to gullible Nigerians , the first person in the picture is Dangote, that is a private jet way back before people can even afford to own a car... the private jet has datata boldly written on it.

Even Otedola's father was former Lagos state governor

I pray that I get to that level where my savings with Nigerian banks would earn me 35% interest by God's grace.

Very valid reason that propelled many men to greatness.

Staying at home all day as a married man with kids is not a good practice no matter what. It will affect your children's perspective about life, work and hardwork. It will even make them lazy.

Even if you are working remotely, if possible, get a personal office away from home or use shared office so that every morning, you dress up and head to your personal or shared office and do your remote work from there than working from home.

Kids are very sensitive and some of your lifestyle will affect them as they grow to become independent.

Cultivate the habit of leaving your house every morning to engage in meaningful ventures that earns you income. Make it a habit to always dress up and leave your house in the morning, it helps you to learn time management, discipline, work habit, and it also help your health a lot too. You get new inspiration everyday you leave your house in pursuit of life success. There is more to lose than gain staying at home all day.

In fact, no person of caliber will take you serious as a man if you spend all your day and week in your house even if you are a billionaire earning your income legitimately from online, have an office, except you are a fraudster.

1) Suffering is not hardwork

2) The price for authenticity is attachment

Most wealthy individuals, particularly in Nigeria, tend to come from financially comfortable or influential backgrounds. Aliko Dangote had access to a strong business legacy through his family. His maternal grandfather, Alhassan Dantata, was one of the most prominent and wealthiest merchants in West Africa during the early 20th century.

Femi Otedola grew up in an influential family, with his father, Michael Otedola, serving as Governor of Lagos State from 1992 to 1993.

Wealth and influence always provide significant advantages such as access to capital, quality education, valuable networks, business exposure, and opportunities that can make the path to financial success easier. I highly recommend a rich family ☹️

Ote$ for a reason .. Approximately 35% from savings across banks annually worth to bank on with huge sum .. cool..
I could remembered, this is what I have on my mind since 2002 . what I want for my dear life is to make some money at that my younger age and let the money work for me later after my 40-45years old .. while I compound, diversify and grows to have enough time for myself and children .. I respect him .... Ote$ ote$ ote$ ... The meaning I personally gives to this differ from others ..
Re: How My Daughter Ended My Retirement Plan - Femi Otedola by TossTos(m): 11:38pm On Jun 08
Note that at least a bank giving 7.2% annually and you have 5 of them equals 35% ... And know that 1b ( Ote$ has more to fix 5b) of 7.2% =72m X 5 = 360m and you want me not to sleep and wake up whenever I wanted ...

You know how many people that have the advantage of comming from rich family end up not being successful? Infact the failure rate is high.
Otedola and dangote need their respect for what they have achieved.

thats not true, particularly here in Nigeria, most influential men here have a very solid financial background, you can fact check , your claim of higher failure rate is a fat lie😂

Most of them are not poor like how it is for a poor man starting from scratch. They are just silently eating the labour of that family member that broke the poverty circle in their lineage o.

No go dey reason am say they are poor like a poor man pikin o
