It is not compulsory for a governor to win his state, the key word is deliver significant votes. Tinubu won and governors played significant role. Makinde was in PDP but Atiku lost Oyo. Atiku is not small but he is no match for Tinubu. Atiku has grown weaker

Atiku won not because of only fulanis but also because of a divided APC, Dankwambo machinery, Pantami factor plus Southern Gombe. The party was complacent and underestimated PDP. Governor Yahaya will slug it out with Dankwambo to give Tinubu more votes unlike the unpopular saidu Alkali. Pantami in PDP cannot work for Atiku again.
