One thing i don't like about threads is how people come and rejoice in other's adversitiy

The tinubu guys used to do it for the south east tragedy, the obideints do it for SW tragedies.

Plus , there is a funny assumption that if we remove tinubu, all these crimes will end. It is not just by removing tinubu, we got to get a president that would improve funding for law enforcement by leaps and bounds.

A decently armed and equipped police force would be able to handle all these issues. But one thing I have found out about Nigerians is, they want their side in power so that they can chop. They do not want actual solutions.

Most Nigerian na emilokan follower and practicioner. TInubu gave a name to something that has been around since independence.

And state police no go solve the problem. Amotekun no go solve the problem. At the end, you need a police force that has drones, helicopters, armoured personell carriers, heavy weaponry, and enough tactical training to deal with these guys. You also need decent enough records systems, even good roads.
All these at least south africa can be said to have 80% of what you said but they are still crime capital..

The energy used to promote hate speech can be used to find and eliminate terrorists.

They will say first that its not a terrorist attack...this will allow the terrorist more time to settle into the environment and then perpetruate more heinous acts of terrorism.
Now they have studied the public feeling about the events and find out everyone had moved on.
Sadly, if this were to be in d south east, the military would have started parading and exercising with another operation mosquito bite.
I still maintain that the Ignos are the only people with foresight on how to curb terrorism in Nigeria.
Give terrorism the Netanyahu treatment and u see peace returned.

You are right but the Tinubu's guys like u called them started it as soon as Buhari became President and started clamping down on Igbo agitators and even innocent Igbo youths.

They mocked Southeasterners about Python dance abi u don forget so soon?

They mocked Nnamdi Kanu's kidnap from Kenya.

They constantly mocked SEasterners during the unknown gunmen rampage in SE, mocked them about sit-at-home protest initiated by MNK to reduce loss of lives as a result of clashes with Nigerian security.

So it is human for some SE guys to also mock them back. Who do first no de pain more, na who do last de pain pass.

And for your information, Tinubu is pampering the terrorists because he doesn't want to use full force to clamp down on them and lose Northern people's votes come 2027, wait until he mistakenly wins, then u guys will see his true color both in clamping down on the terrorists and in restructuring Nigeria to a full regional system with next President of Nigeria becoming a figure head

We first of all need to be a country of law, Even if we can not achieve nationhood. I would have used the term nation of law, but I don't think we can achieve that.

The constitution has to be fair, equal, blind, and supreme.

Justice must not only be done, but seen to be done.

If we can get a constitution that is equal fair and effective, our institutions will get very much stronger and Nigeria would be better for it.

But that's an impossibility because Nigerians believe in strong men, and strong men weaken the institutions for their selfish interests.

I am not a tinubu supporter, but Nigerians have been complaining about the police and security ever since before I was born.

Plus, I know you will say I am excusing government, but our police budget is less than one billion dollars, and the force is expected to use this to police 230 million people. LA in the US uses 5billion to fund their police to look after a population of 12.7 million. It's a miracle the foxes are not running the henhouse by now.

Make we no lie to ourselves...the problem won't go away even when tinubu is gone...as I hope he does go by 2027.

We have been having bad security for decades, and every past government has been blaming outside forces, including this tinubu government (I just had an argument with one tinubu supporter who was excsuing bad security performance as being opposition plot. GEJ supporters and buhari suppoorters were saying the same thing).
Oga tinubu is underperformed in terms of security, let him go!!!!!
I don't care if the subsequent government keep getting worse than the previous, one day we will get the right person for the job
If abians did it, Nigerians can do it

All those useless analogy used to pamper incompetence must stop if we are truly ready for change

You can act like you are helpless when it comes to bandits and terrorists, but you keep pampering and spending the country's money in the name of rehabilitation

As long as we practise untitary system, we can never ever fix this. To fix it, run UK nation based model. This way, u can protect ur border as u want. No amount of money spent on forces as at today can fix the issue. Billions have been spent already but it gets worse. So, more money, same structure, same worse results.
Nigeria's currently problem are weak border control, so, influx of illegal immigrants, that is why i am proud of south africans for standing up to cause troubles and now their govt is paying attention. Over the years, their border police kept taking bribe and allowed illegal immigrants in and they usually cause problems.
So, a 6 nation based country is what Nigeria is begging for if we are to still have a functioning country in the next 20 years.
Another issue is uncontrolled population with too many kids with no proper education, no opportunities, they become prey to bad actors. So, if we have a 6 nation country, each region runs her affirs as she wants, no body will struggle to go to the center. And each regions can now decide if they will control population or not since population will not determine representation at the center. What will matter is the regions and the center is for purely external affairs and condinations. This will fix naija problems hand down.

I am not a tinubu supporter. I have even called for people to vote for Obi on this site and have stated I am doing so myself.

I have supported fuel subsidy removal since 2011.

You better realise that people who disagree with you are not all Tinubu supporters.
