BREAKING: INEC has removed the names of Ahmed Yayari and Daniel Woyengikuro from its portal as PDP National Treasurer and National Financial Secretary, respectively, replacing both names with Odeyemi Mackson Oladiran and Eyim Donatus Henry as the new executives.

Ahmed and Daniel are part of the Makinde-backed Turaki faction while Odeyemi and Eyim are members of the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike's faction, which is also the recognised faction of the PDP.

INEC had earlier recognised the FCT Minister's faction by putting the names of Abdulrahman Mohammed as the National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as the National Secretary, but had left the names of Ahmed Yayari and Daniel as part of the executives, a situation which created confusion.

With the recent update on its portal, all executives of the PDP on INEC's portal are now aligned with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

What was the reason for dismissing the appeal? The Appeal court held that the matter had been decided by the SC which upheld Anyanwu and Ajibade's suspension. So how can INEC accept nominations from suspended members citing a judgement that had effectively been overruled by the SC? Let them continue playing with PDP

The Appeal Court did not set aside the judgement of the FHC Ibadan. Instead, they dismissed the appeal. So, the FHC judgement stands. Turaki's group has no basis in law to even appeal the judgement because they no longer exist after the Supreme Court judgement. They lost totally.

Stop trying to blackmail INEC, they've done nothing wrong. Since no court has ordered them to stop recognizing the Abdulrahman group, why should they de-recognize them? Or has any court ordered INEC to recognize the Turaki group? So, what exactly are you making noise about?

Turaki went to FHC Ibadan to affirm his Chairmanship having been elected by the Ibadan Convention....the Wike people said No, the Convention is still subjudice.

Justice Agomuo says NO, the Wike group are the leadership of the PDP. The Woke neigher told the Court they are the right group nor sought from the Court to affirm them the right group.
The Appeal Court held that whilst Agomuo was wrong to have done that, the whole issue has become more academic. The Appeal Court held that ordinarily, it would have struck off the case and taken it back to the FHC to be handled by another job but the issue is not a live controversy. It has now become academic as a result of the fact that the foundation is the Ibadan Convention and the Supreme Court had settled that. Hence, she dismissed the appeal.

On a second appeal, Durosaro SAN represented the PDP and later the Turaki in the PDP case, Ajibade, the National Legal Adviser held that it was his responsibility ito choose who represents the PDP as the NLS. Hear the Appeal Court;

"...While I agree that the suspension of A.K. Ajibade, SAN, elapsed after one month from November 1, 2025, his tenure of office nevertheless expired in December 2025. Either way, A.K. Ajibade, SAN, could not have issued a valid letter of instruction thereafter, unless there was an intervening circumstance. The Objector, in Paragraph 6(h) of the Further Affidavit, deposed that A.K. Ajibade, SAN, was re-elected, without stating when, where, and by whom he was re-elected as the National Legal Adviser of the 2nd Respondent."

Hence, the Appeal Court held that Ajibade in any capacity could not dictate who to represent the PDP. Ajibade is the NLS of the Wike-faction.....

You seem not to understand how these things work.
They did close ranks but Wike insisted he wouldn't give them a slot because the Turaki opted for sharing some positions in the NWC before the March Convention. There was no choice! Even his loyalists in Rivers and Abuja, he declined them from contesting under the PDP, they are APC now...

As at today, his faction holds sway for reasons unsurprising to anyone but it's a slippery slope.

Did any court order them to derecognise the Mark-led group in ADC before they gave interpretation to ante bellum and did their master's bidding?
