The one who controls trade, finance and holds the largest military power becomes world power.

A large percentage of the world’s payment systems are owned or controlled by US corporations. US controls a large portion of the world’s economy.

They have the largest and strongest military in the world.

They have wealthy individuals and corporations.

It’ll take a major war and balkanization of the US for them to lose world power.

So you hearing from me first that US is a capitalist country where the rich own owns and dictates to the government at the expense of the masses?

Those rich billionaires, where are they making it happen? Most of them have links to China. From Tesla, Microsoft, Dell, Apple and the list go on.

Development is what impacts the people, not how many billionaires it churns out.

It’s about how accessible healthcare, education, security and any other metric you can think of is accessible to the public WITHOUT reaping them off.

Can the US boast about that? No!

No country is perfect but China has delivered for herself and people.

Also, the entire China world power thing is based on population. That's why they can make massive amounts of stuff at ridiculous prices and can overwhelm any foe with massive number of people

you only need to leave the bustling cities to see how empty the inner cities are? i was in one of their train stations the size of appx 8 football fields and honestly i could count the number of people walking around. so scary that at some point i was walking alone!

If the US is a so called superpower (super bully would have been a better name) with 300m people, how can China not be even in the next century with 25% of its population?

Especially in an era where humans ain’t needed anymore? With AI, robotics, and tech doing jobs humans normally do?

I advice the op to visit China in person and stop relying on western brain poison through their mainstream. I was in China two months and no where on earth they are lagging behind.

If the US have all these, then why are they worried? Why all the propaganda here and there? I know the rise of China can be scary; they rose from nowhere and are here now. Since the fall of the Soviet Union, the US hasn't had any near-peer rival until China came, and they will be here for a while. The US will just have to accept it and live with it. This will take time, but they have no options than to accept.

You must be kidding. How come other countries are fine without one-child rule? So many things they could have done - education, birth control, etc, but like typical totalitarian regime, CCP chose a draconian measure. So many families were put through hell because they secretly had two children. So many female children were aborted

This has never been done in human history. A country that moved from being dirt poor country to one of the most technology advanced country in the world in less than three decades. Instead of you looking at what they have done right and try to implement it, you are looking and happy for their downfall. China was able to lift out of poverty mainly because US (mainly) opened her market and allowed China to dump cheap goods, while China closed her own market. Everything everywhere became made in China!
