⚡Fear of Ukrainian drones empties the guesthouses in Latvia's Land of Blue Lakes. Eastern Latvia is an extraordinarily tranquil and picturesque woodland region known as the Land of Blue Lakes, where there's usually not a huge amount to do, which is exactly why tourists come every summer. But faced with the prospect of being interrupted to find shelter from stray Ukrainian attack drones, tourists are staying away, and some 500 small businesses that rely on them are heading for financial trouble, said Jelena Kijasko of the regional tourism industry association. Since late May, no drones arrived for two weeks. That gave rise to hope that the situation had improved. But then, on Monday, a French NATO jet was forced to shoot another drone down. Alas, "now we know it will not be so easy," Kijasko told Reuters, hours after the incident. Stray Ukrainian military drones have been entering the airspace of Latvia and its Baltic neighbours since March. Kyiv and the NATO countries say the weapons have been diverted from intended targets in Russia by Russian signal jamming.

Namaster:i have touched on the limitations on the irgc/hard liners before i'll state it again plainly this war started because some 15 to 30% of the population were okay or were ambivalent to epstein-backed terrorists burning down the country as bad as the reformists are, they're in the 70 or so percent that backed the republic you purge the reformist figures and you have to manage a war and an economy under severe pressure with just 30% core support and 70% who are disenfranchised you can see the problem with the math secondly, many reformist leaders outside the government have been purged including former officials how to purge those in the government during an existential war is the bottleneck it would have been way easier if Jalili had won and the conservatives controlled the executive it would have been very easy to silence the reformists currently in government who would be in the opposition writing opeds and bs and their support base will fall in line due to the rally around the flag phenomenom that cannot happen now. if they get purged, the support base will be pissed and who knows how they will react then you get to the institutional shackles placed on the irgc/hardliners the current system of government was over-engineered to prevent one group from achieving total dominance recall that the irgc was set up to prevent the regular military from doing what we now want the irgc to do the mullahs created a gridlock where every level of the irgc, from the top brass to the brigade level has a mullah (called the supreme leader representative) this system was copied from the communists and exists in china and nk today the ccp has a party representative in each rung of the chinese military same thing in iran in each of the 16 military districts and every missile base, there is a towel head there to keep an eye on the military the mullahs are only united by their desire to remain at the top of the food chain at the individual level, there are as many reformists within their ranks as conversatives for instance, the powerful grandson of khomeini (the first ayatollah) is a reformist between all of the councils, offices, and institutions; iran is not like nigeria where if the military wants to take over, it's about putting the president on house arrest lock up the national assembly and announce a change in the system on NTA i don't even know what the irgc/conservatives can do right now to unwound the gordian knot something will have to break first -Lord |

⚡Trump told Fox News a dramatic story about the Apache helicopter that went down earlier this week, calling it "a miracle." According to Trump, an Iranian drone struck the helicopter and became lodged "between the two pilots" without exploding. The aircraft was "on fire," and there was "a lot of heat inside the cockpit," while the pilots tried to bring it down safely before the drone could detonate "at any moment." Despite the damage, the pilots managed to ditch the helicopter in the sea. About two hours later, they were rescued in what Trump said was the first rescue in U.S. military history carried out by an unmanned sea drone. "It was a miracle," Trump said.

it is morbidly funny how the conservatives in iran have been quiet today just frowning at the reformists the reformists themselves told the mediators that negotiations cannot proceed in these conditions and now a qatari delegation has made an emergency trip to tehran the pakistanis just folding their hands the genocidal ghouls struck beirut while the interior minister of pakistan (the current envoy) was in tehran the iranians had to put him on a flight back to islamabad before their response days back -Lord |

⚡Georgia’s top MP says the EU is demanding that Tbilisi impose sanctions on Russia in exchange for preserving visa-free travel to the bloc. Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili claims Brussels is effectively asking Georgia to "destroy" itself, adding "who will be able to visit the EU if we are dead?" Georgia has refused to join Western sanctions on Russia, insisting that doing so would damage its own economy and risk destabilising the country.

tonididdy: No you're on the losing side. Isn't it already very obvious? It is easier to wipe Ukraine off the map than Russia, don't you think? |

⚡The IAEA's Board of Governors passed a U.S.-backed resolution demanding Iran disclose the status of its remaining enriched uranium stockpiles and allow inspectors to verify them. The measure passed 21–3, with Russia, China and Niger voting against. |
