I reached out to them on IG and I was told they will work on it. Thinking of moving out my funds leaving me with my Zedcrest and Cowrywise managed portfolio. Iamblessed8888: |

If you started in January, you will be up to 90-100% of your capital, which an MMF or any fixed income cannot give you; the goal of any equity investment is long-term. I recommend liquidating your funds and moving them back to MMF. I've lost close to $8000 in my foreign portfolio and also gained $2000 in one week. Once the war is over with my unstoppable "DCA," I'll be a millionaire. Candanyl: |

Its just the timing, someone who started January with Zedcrest has 98% increment on capital. And as long as Zedcrest Equity doesnt fall down to 20% YTD which is the average a MMFund will mostly do this year, you didnt loose anything. And thats the mindset i have always had. You might have entered late, but we still have 6 more months to the end of the year for the YTD to either rise or fall. MMF might be a better option for you. Candanyl: |

Candanyl:I have about five portfolio managers and my observation is dat the returns is almost the same on the long run. The UCAP that I wasn't pleased with is the one managing this yakubu period well while the zedcrest that I was praising earlier is now falling like something else. They even deduct on public holidays. U guy should monitor zedcrest dis coming Friday. |

Candanyl:This tip will help you next time you looking to invest in stocks or Equity mutual funds. And it goes thus; Whenever you see everyone is making gains and posting the percentage gained almost on daily basis here on Nairaland, X(Twitter) or even Tiktok. Just know that you are late to whatever they invested in. That singular act is what lead to many people here complaining of being in RED because they are used to seeing people post gains here. |

CSblackpink:Chief, trust you doing good and holding up. Your loss in the tech, semi conductor and AI sector is not related to the middle East war. Yes, Trump has been manipulating the market but the tech sector is currently bleeding for some reasons I will outline in my next video which will be published today. |

Always use the same information such as address, phone number, bank account etc in joining new fund managers. So, I think by doing that, you will have only one CHN across board.. You can register to other funds managers such as cowrywise, Cardinalstone, Zedcrest, paramount, arm etc. Read reasons it's better to avoid multiple CHNs In the Nigerian financial market, a CHN stands for Clearing House Number. It is a unique biometric identifier assigned to you by the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS)—essentially serving as your financial "fingerprint" or national identity card for your capital market investments. Ideally, an investor should have exactly one CHN. Having different (multiple) CHNs across various fund managers or stockbroking firms is problematic for several key reasons: 1. Fragmentation of Your Wealth When you have multiple CHNs, the CSCS system views you as entirely different people. This means your investment portfolio is split into isolated silos. Instead of logging into a portal or using a service like the CSCS USSD code (*7270#) to see your total net worth at a glance, you will only see bits and pieces scattered across different accounts. 2. Identity Theft and KYC Risks A major reason regulators (like the Securities and Exchange Commission, SEC) fight against multiple CHNs is security. Having different CHNs often points to inconsistencies in your KYC (Know Your Customer) data—such as slight variations in the spelling of your name, different dates of birth, or mismatched Bank Verification Numbers (BVN). This messy data makes you highly vulnerable to identity theft or unauthorized asset sales, because it is much harder for the system to flag fraudulent activity when your identity isn't consolidated. 3. Missing Out on Corporate Benefits (Dividends & Rights Issues) If a company you invested in declares a dividend, bonus issue, or a rights issue, the registrars rely heavily on your unique CHN to match your holdings and credit your bank account. If you have mismatched or multiple CHNs, the system can get confused, leading to: Unclaimed or delayed dividends. Failed verification when trying to buy into public offers or rights issues on unified electronic platforms like NGX Invest. 4. Administrative Nightmares During Consolidation Eventually, you—or your heirs, during estate management—will have to fix this. Reconciling and consolidating multiple CHNs requires a long administrative process. You have to write official letters to the CSCS through a stockbroker, go through biometric recapture exercises, map all the numbers to a single BVN, and pay processing fees to merge the accounts. The Rule of Thumb: You can have accounts with as many different fund managers or stockbroking firms as you want, but you must give them the exact same CHN that you received when you opened your very first capital market account. mhoreh:After deduction, u will need to wait for almost one month to receive it. So u will need to wait 3 to 4 more weeks. I think that was how long mine took after deduction, but yours could be faster though. No need sending them mails, it won't change anything. |
