All you need to travel is a flight plan and a serviceable aircraft. Airport dues will be paid as you travel around the world

Forget that your experience except we are talking about the same thing here. You can't just wake up and jump into your jet and off to UK or anywhere without a clearance. The airport you are landing has traffic and other users are using it too. So it must be planned.
